Retrieving the Lost Package!

Hmhmn, smashing!

Rai thought with a profound British accent for some unknown reason as she was overcome with sheer joy. Not at the fact that they had won, but because they were still alive. She looked around for Luke only to find him taking on a stance that suggested he thought otherwise of the situation. Rai could tell he was kicking himself on the inside, this world slowly tearing away at his mental well being. Things just didn't feel right. No, they weren't right to him... Then his tense feeling would ease itself as a soft hand was placed on his shoulder.

"Come on, Luke. We have to keep moving."

How soothing her words were, yet fractured at the same time trying to hide a feeling that she knew would not sit well with Luke. A feeling that he'd eventually uncover. For now though, the two had get out of the cave and reach their hometown. And so they set back on course as fast as the limits on their bodies would allow until they either reached the exit or encountered another opponent.

Rai and Luke continues onward into the cavern to reach the exit. The pathway began to become shorter and shorter with a little ray of light down way further within the route. It appears that the duo's adventuring inside the mountain will finally come to a close. As the two wanders further down the road, they would notice another choice to take along the way: The narrow upper path or the wide lower path.

"Alright, just a little longer..."

She spoke with a focus in her eyes following the path only to come to another fork in the road. The two briefly stopped before continuing down the wide lower path.

The lower, yet wider path Rai and Luke chose made them venture deeper down the route as the light down the road shifts from light to darkness. Their travels would be near the end, but it seems that there is one more obstacle along their route. What could it be? The only thing that echoes about is the sound of a bat.

"Hmn..."

Rai grunted, seeing the light shift to darkness. This gave her the illusion that they had only further to go than they preciously had. Even so, they pushed onward down the dark cave thinking it would be a waste of time to turn back, but then they paused hearing such a sound echoing from deeper inside. The two need not even speak as they both continued cautiously while very alert.

The echoing of a bat continues to linger about for a little while longer as the cave gets even darker around the area. The light slowly dims down, but is still shines as the two lurks closer to it. The volume of the echo increase greatly until the wild Zubat instantly flew right in front of them and screech out loudly to disrupt their movements completely. The second Zubat would do the same thing stealthily screeching within the cave to disrupt as well. Quite annoying, isn't it?

Indeed the screeching was quite unpleasant as it forced Rai to cover her ears while cringing. She couldnt do this forever however and thus would turn to Luke before motioning for him to take care of the one immediately in front of them since they couldn't spot the second culprit, there eyes still growing accustome to the darkness with the little light it held. She also spoke, though her words were muffled do to the screeching. Still, Luke prepare himself before commencing his 'Quick Attack' in attempts to strike it down and silence it.

The Zubats continue to screech once more until the first one was struck down by Luke's 'Quick Attack', causing it to screech once more in pain before falling flat on the ground. The second one flew away further into the darkness behind them. Looks like that was the end of that? Right? Right? Survey Says: Wrong!!
All of a sudden from behind them within the darkness, there would be a massive wave of Zubats flapping and screeching away towards Rai and Luke to go out in an all range attack. Oddly enough, this reminds any regular trainer their first journey around the mountain and witness the terrifying damnation of the zubat army. Even with their high skills, taking down an endless mob of Zubats is suicidal.

CRIPES MAN!! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!

"Phoo~ It's over... Now we can—"

The relieved trainer began to say as the other Zubat could be heard gradually fleeing the area. It was then that the familiar sound could be heard increasing soon after and in greater numbers.

"You've got to be kidding me. C'mon Luke, we gotta keep going!!!"

She began, slowly walking onwards before the both of them broke out into a full on sprint. This was just surreal. Too surreal! This was one unpredictable world they lived in. One they were determined to stay in at that.

The two sprint out as fast as they can to escape from the Zubat Rush, running deeper and deeper into the darkness while following the light in the far end. The Zubats began to catch closer and closer towards Rai and Luke until they've ran out of the cave and escape the beatdown. Some flew out of the cave while the rest did a 180 and flew back into the darkness. Talk about a close call! However, Rai and Luke are now finally outside the mountain route!

The two skid to a halt outside of the cave before flopping on the ground to catch their breath while watching the Zubats they had manage to escape. They were now fully relieved to have completed their journey inside of the cave. Rai gave a warm yet tired smile to her trusty pokemon as she stood up again and faced foreward. Now it was time to head home.
