Luna Mountain, To Dusk City!

Minami was awaiting Kaito at the cave entrance. She double checked her bag and made sure her kodachi was sharp. Granite had told her that Luna Mountain was large and dangerous. Not only that, but there were reports of pokemon being hostile too.

"Alright, all set!"

*In the distance Minami would be able to see Kaito coming to the entrance to the Mountain Route. She'd be able to see the small glimmer of the moon from the necklace he just obtained from his sister. Kaito would have a very big smile on his face and wave to her.*

Kaito: "Minaaaaaamiiiiii!"

*Kaito finally made it to her and would be a bit jumpy. His smile would be big and goofy, and his hair looking a little crazy.*

Kaito: "Are you ready?"

Minami giggled at Kaito.

"That's my line! But if you're sure you're ready, let's get going! It's going to take a long time to get through this cave!"

She saw the charm around his neck and wondered what it was, but didn't voice it. Everyone had things with them and about them they either didn't or just couldn't explain. She was pretty happy Kaito didn't question her kodachi outright, but she was sure it would come up eventually when she actually had to use it.

"Don't do anything reckless."

*Kaito scratched the back of his head and smiled.*

Kaito: "Haha of course I'm ready! Don't worry I'll try not to be reckless this time around! But lets both do our best to stick together and be safe, ok? I have your back, Minami!"

*With that, Kaito was ready to take either the lead or the back role. Whichever she felt more comfortable with, he'd do.*

Kaito: "So who's going to be taking the lead?"

Minami cocked an eyebrow. She wasn't too used to organized party's. Besides, she found random chaos much more fun.

"Let's just wing it! Come on, keep up!"

Minami suddenly dashed into the cave and started heading down the path where Kaito had run into the Steelix. The indentation from where Steelix had chased him was still visible, but she didn't seem to mind at all.

Kaito: "Wh-What!?"

*Kaito was a little flustered at her sudden burst of speed. Kai was especially nervous after that encounter with Steelix, but he believed that if he let this shake him up, he'd never be a good pokemon trainer. With that determination, Kai ran into the cave and saw the massive indent that the Steelix made, not letting shake him up he'd go a bit faster to keep up with Minami.*

As the two continued on further than Kaito had gone alone, they would run for about five minutes in a straight path until they came to a fork in the road. One path led to the right and down a flight of stairs that seemed to be emitting heat, while the other path continued on forward into the cave and then turned left. They had already passed a large hole in the ground, most likely from where Steelix had already burrowed back into the ground. The only other pokemon around were sleeping Zubat.

Minami slowed down at the fork and smiled, not even winded. She was very well trained for survival in the wild. A short run like that was nothing to her.

"So, which way? Your choice."

She seemed a lot more cheery than usual. Being around Kaito was starting to feel more comfortable, just because he seemed to not be the dark brooding type.

*Kaito kept up with Minami and seemed like he wasn't burnt out one bit either. Seeing her smile and be all cheery helped to keep him energized and focused. When asked to choose where to go, Kai bit his lip then looked at the left path and the right path. Thinking it over a bit, Kaito would raise his finger and point to the right path.*

Kaito: "Hm lets head through the right path, shall we? Also lets try our best to avoid waking the Zubat, easy enough right?"

*Kai smiled and wondered if Minami would have second thoughts about going to the right or not.*

The two would head down the right path, and still there would be no pokemon. However, the area was starting to heat up intensely. Once they came to an opening in the stairs, they would be a huge part of the cavern. Pools of lava sat on both sides of the path and there was another cavern door about two hundred meters in front of them leading deeper into the cave. For some reason, pokemon were avoiding this area. Not even Zubat or Woobat could be seen.

Minami got a chill as even through the heat as they walked forward. Why weren't there any pokemon around this area. She had a bad feeling and swallowed the lump in her throat as she subconsciously walked a bit closer to Kaito.

"This is...pretty weird. I've never been down here before."

*Kaito grew a bit pale for some reason but shook himself and slapped himself in the face once Minami got closer. He'd softly blush a little then began to look around at the vacancy of pokemon in this area.*

Kaito: "Seems like it, and well I have through this area once, only when I was younger though. It seems as though this area changed a whole lot. Anyways, lets not stop here Minami. Lets get through this, we have each other and together we're pretty darn tough!"

*Kaito turned to her and smiled. Sure he was a little scared, but he wouldn't let up. He wanted to make sure both of them would be able to make it through to their goals. With that, he'd continue walking but made sure that Minami was following behind him.*

The lava pools bubbled more heavily the father they got towards the doorway into the next part of the cave. An extremely heavy pressure would fall over them. By the time they had stepped through the doorway, a sense of dread would seem to settle over the area. From their position, the path went in between two large mountain cliffs and then dropped off after splitting into a round like area. It was almost like an underground Colosseum. A bright glow was in the area of the arena floor which they couldn't see at the moment.

However, as they walked deeper in, being in the area that were shaped like seats, they would see now that dozens of pokemon were indeed in this area. Aggron, Rhyhorn, Rhydon, Rhyperior, Graveler, Golem, Golbats, Onix, Steelix, Gigalith, almost every form of cave pokemon found in this area of the cave filled the Colosseum like area. There were literally over hundreds of pokemon. And on the arena floor, which was actually just a huge lava pit, was the biggest pokemon of them all, eyes shut in a deep slumber.

Minami's eyes widened and her heart skipped a beat. She froze on spot seeing the massive pokemon sleeping in lava.

"Gro...Groudon?!?!"

She whispered.

*Kaito's jaw dropped, his eyes widened, and his heart beat faster. He was in disbelief until Minami herself mentioned its name. It was the legendary pokemon that could raise landmasses out of sheer will, the Continent Pokemon, Groudon. Even though he was shocked, scared, and wanting to yell, Kaito pulled himself together and shook his head.*

Kaito: "Minami, this is too dangerous. We have to turn back at once, we just have to!"

*Kaito whispered these words to Minami as his heart continued to beat quickly within his chest. This couldn't be happening. It couldn't be the legendary pokemon, but there it was sleeping in plain as day.*

Unfortunately, fate had a cruel way of kicking people into reality. Groudon remained sleep, however, its sheer aura pulsed outwards, knocking Minami and Kaito right back out of the area. The unanimous roar of the pokemon inside the cavern echoed like the roar of the mighty beast that slumbered, almost as if they were Groudon's subconscious. Minami and Kaito would find it best to run the hell out of there as all of the fully grown and first evolved pokemon began using earthquake. The entire part of the mountain began to tremble before giant pieces of the cavern began to collapse in around them. They didn't have much time, a giant boulder falling in front of the doorway they had just exited from. The boulder would not be able to be moved, only rock smash could destroy it.

In sheer panic, Minami grabbed Kaito's arm and began to run from the area.

"What the hell is going on here?"

She cried out as she dragged Kaito with all her might, showing just how fast she really was, even as boulders crashed down around them and splashed lava behind them. They were almost at the exit. They would need to make a jump for it.

*Kaito snapped the hell out of it and ran right as soon Minami grabbed his arm. They ran quickly dodging boulders left and right, careful of the falling lava. Finally when it came for the jump, Kaito took the biggest leap he could, hoping he'd make it on through.*

Both young trainers dove for their lives and were rewarded with the sound of the cave behind them collapsing in. They were safe for the moment. The boulder that fell behind them blocked the path to Groudon completely and didn't seem like it would budge without great Strength.

The sound woke the Zubat and sent them scattering, however, none seemed to pay attention to Minami and Kaito. They fluttered away screeching, deeper into the cave. Three pokemon, however, found the noise interesting and were digging up from the ground to investigate.

Minami was relieved that they had made it out alive, so much that she yelled joyfully at the top of her lungs and threw her arms around Kaito's shoulder in a hug.

"Yatta! We made it!"

She cheered. After a few seconds, she paused, blushed, and then pushed Kaito away, blushing deeply and holding her hands to her chest.

"Gomen..."

She apologized, poking her fingers together. Then she noticed the ground moving and the three Aron come out the ground. She jumped to her feet and stepped back, just in case they were hostile. Without hesitation, she unleashed Monferno.

"Be on guard Raze."

*Kaito caught in the moment as well, put his arms around Minami and gave her a hug. Hugging her made him blush a bit and she smelled really nice... Not that he was smelling.*

Kaito: "Oh man am I so glad that we got out of there haha!"

*Kaito then noticed how they both ended up hugging each other. He blushed brightly and was then pushed off of her. Trying to remain cool, Kaito scratched the back of his head and chuckled a little.*

Kaito: "I-Its ok haha, no harm done at all."

*Smiling, Kaito noticed the Arons and knelt down. He didn't get too close to them, but he did hold out his towards the little Arons in a friendly manner. At the sametime, Shaker came out of his pokeball on his own and went over to the large boulders, feeling the power coming from Groudon. Shaker would begin to push at the rocks, but to no avail. Crying out a little, Shaker went back to Kai to make sure the Arons wouldn't do anything to harm them.*

The first Aron, A1, instantly narrowed its eyes at Kaito and made its tiny paw start glowing. It slapped the ground in front of it at Kaito with a mud slap attack, aiming to hurt him with minimal damage, but blind him as well. It would seem that all the pokemon were hostile, no matter what this deep in the cave. The other two Aron moved on to the other targets.

A2 aimed at Monferno and rushed in for a tackle attack while A3 did the same to Larvitar. The pokemon didn't seem organized or coherent like Steelix. They weren't babies, but they weren't strong enough to fight whatever was making them act this way.

Minami knew she would need to help Kaito and Larvitar out since their opponents knew a move that was super effective against Larvitar. But her options were also limited with her only way of battling being Raze since her kodachi would do nothing to the Aron's hard bodies. She shouted out her command before moving towards Larvitar and Kaito.

"Fury swipe Raze, and don't hold back!"

Monferno was easily able to avoid the slow tackle from Aron and began to swipe at its hard body with extremely fast slashes from its claws. It was obvious it wasn't doing much damage at all, but with each hit, it should seem to start effecting the Aron little by little as Monferno continued to dance around the smaller creature.
