Starting My Journey By Force. Thanks Parents...

The sun rises up with a bright aurora all around New Moon Village to awaken the fine people for another day. Inside a small home is an alarm clock blaring out a soothing pitch tone of the Final Fantasy prelude to peacefully awaken the sleepyhead. Unfortunately, the clock's life became short lived as D'Raven's fist smashed the clock because of how it woke him from his slumber. The fifteen year old teen yawns loudly and grumpy like as he looks over and sees the sun shining down brightly and blinding his eyes momentarily. He covers his face with his hands to get the glare out of his eyes as he close the blinds, keeping his room in a somewhat dark tone. Now that he's awake, D'Raven walks out of his room and takes care of his typical business: The bathroom. After that is done, he walks down the stairs with only his white stripped boxers and wife beater on his upper body.

"Morning guys, what are we having for-"

His parents were waiting for him at the bottom of the stairs with their arms crossed. Their facial expression only show signs of anger and disgust to the failure of the child that they've burden.

"...Breakfast?"

Mother: "D'Raven, I believe that it is time for you to start thinking about your future."

Father: "Your mother is right, son. You've been cooped up in your room for far too long smooching at our own expense."

D'Raven scratched his head with a dumbfound look on his face. This wasn't the only time he'd heard this same lecture.

"But mom, dad, you know how hard it is to obtain an actual job in this world. Especially with the recession going on-"

The father suddenly smack him in the head with a paper battle fan.

Father: "Don't you even dare bring up that bullcrap again, mister! You're fifteen years old and you've wasted your life away because of those nonsense careers that you want. An astronaut? Banker? What have you've been smoking on?"

Mother: "Stop thinking about those minor things and become a Pokemon Trainer already. Everyone has got their goals already started except you."

"That's because I don't want to be a Pokemon Trainer!"

Both the parents gasp suddenly from hearing such blasphemy. The father crossed his hands once more as his anger rises, steam slowly burst out of his ears.

Father: "That's it! I'm done with this kid! Either you become a Pokemon Trainer or never return to this place again!"

D'Raven looked at his mother with sad, puppy dog eyes. However, it didn't work as she already has majority of this stuff packed up for him in a bag and the two parents tossed him out of the door.

Both Parents: "Don't come back until you become a champion!"

He scratched his head and sighs, shaking the dirt off of him as he slowly gets up. He has a note on his jacket as he peels it off and reads it.


"Go see Prof. Juniper to get a great start. ♥ -Mom"

"Might as well just kill me instead, but beggars can't be choosers."

He then begins to head to Prof. Juniper's lab location in the New Moon Village.

(Lol its Prof. Jupiter not Juniper.)

As D'Raven was sent flying out of his house, the neighbors all sweatdropped at him. The residents of New Moon Village were friendly towards one another and didn't judge D'Raven, though they would never allow their children to have his same attitude. As D'Raven was tossed out of his house, he would see a young girl running towards the Lab as well, a person he had met a few times but had never really become friends with named Haruka. She seemed to be eager.

The other residents of New Moon went about their business as usual, enjoying the beautiful day and performing the duties of those who have either only dreamed of starting a pokemon journey or have gone and failed their own. It wasn't a secret that only the strong could survive in the world of pokemon, those with potential. What D'Raven didn't know was that it wasn't just his parents that thought D'Raven had the potential to become an excellent trainer.

As D'Raven approached the Lab, he would notice Haruka already running out, heading back towards her own home.

(I dun goofed! xD )

D'Raven was up on his own two feet once more as he sees a girl running about towards the same location he's heading as well. It was none other than Haruka that lives right across from him. It was quite interesting seeing that they've only met a few times, but barely notice each other at all afterwards. She's the outgoing and free-spirited type to him in his mind. Reminds him of another friend he once knew that went out as a Pokemon Trainer. Or perhaps his mind is completely warped from being in home for so long watching TV shows and playing video games. He could hardly tell the difference between fantasy and reality anymore. The instant that she came inside the Prof. Jupiter's lab is the same instant that she'd left out and headed back home. A sweatdrop appeared on his head.

"Is it really THAT easy to become a trainer? This should be easier than I expected."

He went towards the door and wait for them to slide open to grant entrance. The unmotivated teen looked around in curiosity with all of the strange alienated technology. The self-sheltered D'Raven is completely overwhelmed from it all as he gets a quick headache.

"Ugghh...My head....Is the Prof. Jupiter around here?"

Prof. Jupiter was already putting back pokeballs when he noticed the arrival of another soon-to-be trainer. He glared at the arrival of the person for a moment before smiling his dark and foreboding grin. The machinery that whined unearthly in the background would make the room feel more like a mad science lab instead of a pokemon lab.

"You're the neet boy right? Your parents sent you? What's your name kid."

He was in a more engaging mood than earlier which could never be a good thing for those who came to see him. The temperature would seem to drop as his smirk grew.

The appearance of Prof. Jupiter and his masculine aura instantly made D'Raven collapse to the ground, fainting as a result which shows a small box that type "D'Raven has fainted" on it as well. Nevertheless, he slowly got back up on his two feet while being scared shitless from just the mere presence of him.

"Uhh...My name is D'Raven Alistar...A-A-And yes my parents sent me here. Please don't kill me!"

His entire body flinch into a post where he covered himself under his jacket to avoid any physical harm that may come. The temperature dropping suddenly made D'Raven shiver wildly.

Jupiter just chuckled at D'Raven. For some reason, he had a feeling that a him from another universe would not be amused by this and would instead hurt the boy just because he asked him not to. But this Prof. Jupiter wasn't like that. He recognized the potential in the people who came to his lab and wanted nothing more for them to realize the potential they held. D'Raven was one of them. He was a neet and wanted to waste his potential playing video games and watching anime.

"D'Raven. There's a reason I called you here, but you should already know it. You have to start your journey, and to do so you'll need a partner. A pokemon that will be with you through thick and thin, one that if raised right, will be closer to you than even your family."

With a snap of his finger, Jupiter teleported the two into the hidden part of his lab. And a blink later, shelves of pokeballs came rushing by them into the distance like a speeding train on both sides of them, a very good reference to a certain movie that is still awesome.

"Choose your pokemon D'Raven, and I'll tell you what happens next."

The sudden burst of teleportation made D'Raven scream loudly in fear for about a good five minutes after the instantaneous switch of rooms. The director who is helping the actor of D'Raven comes out from his computer screen and slaps him a few times.

Director: "Calm the hell down!"

Zesu: "Oh sorry, sir."

Director: "Take two!"

After the change of scenery, D'Raven took a loud scream, but got his cool back as he looks around in huge amazement from it all. The sudden burst of the rushing poke balls running past him instantly shit himself as he swiftly tries to clean himself up before the event was over. He blinked several times with a shocked look on his face.

"W-what....just happened...?"

D'Raven begins to inspect each one with the image floating above them, having a hard time choosing one since he's barely knowledgeable in the Pokemon aspect, but understand the basics of it all. Out of nowhere, he hears a small voice whispering out to him as it guides him over to the poke ball. The ball shows a picture of a Sandile and picks it up.

"Sandile? That's a strange name for you. I'll call you Wally!"

Jupiter smiled at his reaction. It was as priceless as that girl from earlier. He looked at the teen looking at the pokemon like he wasn't sure about them, even though pokemon were just as natural as normal animals were in the real world. When he stopped in front of the Sandile, he rose an eyebrow.

"Interesting. So you want Sandile the Desert Croc pokemon. Though if you choose it, your contract says you have to call it Juno, not Wally."

"Juno? What the heck? Pokemon has actual names now?"

Confused by the strange contract given to him, D'Raven reads it carefully and notice that the narrator gave Sandile that name because he's using D'Raven as a crash test dummy for another reason. But he digress! The kid shrugs it off and accept the matter of fact to get things going.

"Oh well. Juno does sound better, but I wish I could have named him Wally the Gator from that cartoon."

The poke ball has an anger mark on it's head from the stupid comment that D'Raven has said about naming it Wally the Gator. Apparently, this Sandile would prefer from being called anything that sounds corny at all times.

Prof. Jupiter walks over to one of his confined lab spaces and place his palm on the tablet. The tablet begin scanning his retinal and palm for maximum recognition. The signal turns green and the left side of the floor right next to him slides open to reveal an inventory chest. He knocks open the chest with his index finger and pull out a starter kit before tossing it over to D'Raven.

"Here is your starter set for the journey. Inside it arefive pokeballs, one of each healing utilities for burn/ paralyze/ice, and two potions. However, that is not all...."

Prof. Jupiter reached further down the chest and grabbed the Pokedex. An all powerful item that only a select few are given. He personally gives it to D'Raven.

"This is your Pokedex, D'Raven. This utility contains infinite power from within and many aspects for your journey. This may seem like a blessing at first, but it is also a curse. Many will hunt you down for this item and they will do anything to take it. Even if it means killing you! These people are known as the Dark Descendents. From here on out, you're decisions will define your stories ending."

D'Raven catches the starter kit bag and equipped the sash around his shoulder to let it rest on the left side of his waist. He inspects each and every one of the items to make sure that none of them are defunct. He taste a sample of the potions and the healing aids which made his face turn an odd color because of the strange taste lingering out afterwards. He open each Poke Ball and look at them confusingly and curiously. These things are used to capture wild Pokemon? Whatever! After that was done, D'Raven was given the awe-inspiring Pokedex as he looks at it with his mouth wide open in a large "O". He squealed like a little girl from seeing it and is now a prime owner of one just like the TV shows.

"Holy crap! This feels just like that Pokemon Live Action Series that I've watched starring Zesu and Aliyah!"

However, his fantasy moment quickly halted to sheer torment as Prof. Jupiter explained to him why only a select few can obtain them. He remembers hearing about the Dark Descendants from the live action series, but never knew that they actually exist in the real world. Plus, the fact that everyone will try come to hunt him down for just his item really made D'Raven tremble like crazy and gulp painfully. The part where Jupiter told him that his stories will be based on his decisions seem familiar from several video games that he played in his lifetime.

"What the heck did my parents sign me up for? Oh well, I don't have a choice so might as well try to do something productive with my life."

He shudders once more because of the fact that he'll have to interact with the outside world.

"Thanks for the advice, Prof. Jupiter! I shall get going on my journey now!"
