The Journey Has Already Begun!

With her new life as a trainer less than a day away an anxious Rai would be sitting at the dining room table with a home cooked meal in front of her. Though, with the mesmerizing aroma brushing by her nose she would find herself pushing the food around with her fork, lost in the ideas of the travels she will soon undertake. Her grandmother's keen eye would have no doubt picked up on this.

Grandmother: "You know you have a big day tomorrow. I would eat and get some rest if I were you."

Her grandmother would say with a gentle tone, almost instantly braking her trance.

"Oh, yeah. After I clean the dishes of course."

Rai said while beginning to scarf down the food on her plate.

Grandmother: "Oh don't worry about them. You just go and get some rest."

Rai stopped as she was almost finished with her food.

"Are you sure?"

Grandmother: "Yes yes now please, finish and go get some rest."

Rai shook her head in confirmation and soon scarfed down the remainder of her diner. After taking her plate to the sink she would rush upstairs to prepare for bed, all the while thinking of the endless possibilities of what await her.

Her slumber was well nourishing though no time was wasted in awaking from it as the excitement was unbearable. As she finished readying herself she would leap down the stair in a hurry to get going. With a kiss to her grandmother's cheek Rai would start for the door though would be stopped soon after.

Grandmother: "Hold on a moment! Take this, you'll need it along your travels."

Her grandmother would hand her a bag with some supplies and a bit of money also.

"Thanks Grams!"

Rai said thankfully before leaving. It was now time for her to get to the local Pokecenter. Once through its doors, she would look around the place before walking up to the counter.

"Hello, can anyone please help me?"

A quick jingle began to play once Rai enters the Pokemon Center, signalizing Nurse Joy that another passenger is here. She would walk out of the medical lab room and went back to her usual spot right behind the main desk counter. She would bow to Rai in a calm and gentle manner with her trademark smile. Her voice echoed out in the same charmingly cute way as well. This is the Young Nurse Joy that is attending for her older sister for the time being.

"Welcome to the Pokemon Center. How may I help you?"

Rai bowed as well as greeted the young Nurse Joy. Her voice was indeed charming.

"Ah yes. I was just wondering where I could begin my days as a pokemon trainer. You wouldn't happen to know, would you?"

Rai would say with a raised eyebrow, awaiting a response.

"You want to start your journey as a Pokemon Trainer? You came to the right place. One moment please."

The Young Nurse Joy goes onto the PC to start up the Pokemon Trainer registration process, typing away to start up a few applications to begin. Unfortunately, the computer suddenly catches the blue screen of death and froze on her. She lets out a light yelp from the sudden encounter due to the lack of training on the automatic machinery. A light sweatdrop rolls on her head as she lets out a nervous chuckle before turning the computer back on and restarting the system. The registration would restart and she looked back at Rai.

"Before we begin, I'll need your name, age, and starter Pokemon to complete the process. It's very simple, really."

Seeing the sudden distress the Young Nurse Joy had been put in, Rai would have almost asked if she needed help, though as the chuckle came she figured that it was under control. As she was asked the simple questions she would respond eagerly.

" Ah yes. I am Rai Retsaki and I'm seventeen years of age. As for my starter Pokemon... my starter Pokemon... starter Pokemon..."

It would seem that after so much thought that Rai had put into this day she had completely forgot about which pokemon she would choose to start off with. She knew the ones available in this region though did not know which one to accompany her. But then it struck her. She had remembered of thinking hard on a specific Pokemon. After her moment of thought, she would turn to Young Nurse Joy.

"Riolu! That's who I'll start of with if that isn't a problem."

The Young Nurse Joy began to type in the quick information of Rai into the registration application, stopping for a bit as she sees the newcomer think about her first starter Pokemon. She continued to smile lightly at her.

"Don't worry, hun. Take as much time as you need."

Hearing her choose Riolu as her starter Pokemon, Nurse Joy smiles lightly at her choice and nods to her question.

"Good Choice! I can provide you Riolu right after this."

She press enter on the keyboard and prints out Rai's very own Trainer Card. She takes it out of the card printer and gave it to Rai. Out of the medical lab doorway her Chansey would come out with a elegant tray. On top of it would be a Poke Ball with Riolu inside that would open up and bring it out to be right by Rai. He let out its cry towards its new partner.

"There you go. You are now an official Pokemon Trainer."

As her trainer card was given to her, Rai would gratefully bow. She saw as Chancey had come out with the pokeball that opened and let out her knew companion, Riolu. Her face lit up with joy at its cry towards her as she knelt down beside it.

"Awwww!! You're so cute!! I'll call you Luke, is that alright with you?"

She said while gently brushing its head with her hand. She would then proceed to stand and look towards Young Nurse Joy yet again.

"I am deeply grateful for your help and will be sure to come back and visit. Goodbye."

Rai then turned towards the door and began to walk while looking at Luke.

"C'mon Luke. It's time to go explore!"

With this said they would both be out the door and headed off on their new journey together.

As Rai and Luke begin to leave out of the Pokemon Center to start their journey, the older Nurse Joy comes out of the medical lab tidying herself up from her break nap. She let out a very light yawn and did a couple of arm stretches.

Big Joy: "Little Sis, did the medical health package came in today?"

Little Joy: "Not yet, Big Sis. It should have gotten here by now. I wonder what could have happened?"

The door slides open as a panicky deliveryman comes in running and panting with little to no breath. The deliveryman went towards the two nurses and begin to speak. The two Nurse Joys quickly went to the aid of the tired messenger and placed him down on the sofa to help him relax. The older Nurse Joy went to grab some water for him.

"I'm sorry for the sudden delay, but we have a problem."

Little Joy: "What do you mean?"

"Unfortunately, I've lost your health package during the trip into the Mountain Route."

Little Joy: "Oh my! Did anything happen to you during your travel?"

"A wild Steelix appeared out of nowhere and it scared the crap out of me. I ran for my life and dropped the item during my fright."

Little Joy: "Awww, don't worry about it, sir. We can always order another-"

Suddenly, a jolt pops into Little Nurse Joy's mind and gets an idea. She would tell the tired deliveryman that she'll be back momentarily and dash outside the door, yelling at Rai to catch her attention before she completely left.

Little Joy: "Excuse me, Ms. Retsaki.~♫"

As Rai had left the Pokecenter she would see the deliveryman dash inwards just as she left. She had thought it to be just an urgent delivery and would keep walking, smiling down at Luke. That is until Little Joy had came and found them.

"Yes Nurse Joy, is there something wrong?"

She would say, finding it odd that Little Joy was in such a hurry to catch them.

Little Nurse Joy would speak embarrassingly as she rubs the back of her head nonchalant. Her voice express cutely and delicately towards Rai as she begin to explain the situation.

"Well, how could I put this in words? The deliveryman that recently came inside our Pokemon Center accidentally drop the health package inside the mountain route. If its not too much trouble, then could you please find the package and return it back to me?"

Rai's eyes would light up at Little Joy's request. This was a perfect opportunity for the her and Luke to train while also fulfilling an important task.

"It would be no trouble at all, Nurse Joy. You can count on us!!"

Her voice rang out excitingly. Luke would also seem to show a bit of excitement as he let out a few yelps of joy at his trainer. They would then bow and start towards the mountain route.

"We'll be back in no time!"

She yelled to Little Joy as they were a ways away before leaving the area.

(Time Skip)

After being scooped up in the arms of a handsome young fellow the two of them, as well as Luke, would end up back at the Pokecenter in Luna Mountain Town to deliver the package they had accomplished in getting. As she wanted to speak along there travels back she was to busy blushing, vulgar thoughts filling her head involuntarily. Once they were inside she would get down right away, pull the package out of her bag and putting it on the counter.

"Nurse Joy?"

She would say, still holding Luke up as her wound ached.

Young Nurse Joy notice Rai and Luke walking back in the Pokemon Center with the package, revealing a nice smile on her face. However, that smile quickly turns into a worrying frown as she sees them both quite injured. She quickly rushed towards them and held them up.

"Oh dear! Your wounds are devastating! Chansey! Bring me the medical bed for these two! Staff!"

Chansey quickly rushed out with a medical stool and quickly places Luke gently on the bed. The Chansey rush the Riolu into the back of the medical lab to begin treatment on his wounds. The Young Nurse Joy placed Rai on her medical stool bed and rushed her in the back as well. Treating on her wounds together with Chansey. Tears slowly rolled down on her face from what she had done. Her voice in a sad and sorrow tone.

"I'm sorry for all of this, Rai. I didn't mean to send you out like that if this were to happen."

Snow was a bit shocked when the Nurse Joy and Chansey completely ignored him and snatched Rai right out of his hands. He would blink several times to see if he understood what was going on and sighed, getting used to being pushed to the back burner. Instead, he walked over to the Nurse Joy that was still behind the counter and greeted her.

"Hello. My name is Snow Rozalyn. I was initially coming here to get my first pokemon and a pokedex that was supposed to be sent by Prof. Jupiter. Has it arrived yet?"

He asked, though he kept looking towards the back and hoping that Rai would be okay. He didn't know about the Nurse Joy and their instant healing abilities, since he hadn't really read up on classes except for Engineer and Air Adept.

"Don't cry, Nurse Joy. It's not you're fault. To be honest, I probably would have gone even if I knew the dangers. Besides, I was most likely going to encounter a situation like this along my journey anyway."

Rai would say while on the bed in order to calm Nurse Joy. As she was about to be treated though, she would wonder if the person who had helped saved her life would still be their later.

"Please rest for a while, Rai. Your wounds need time to heal."

Nurse Joy and Chansey continues to tend to the wounds of Rai and Luke, patching up any bruises, sores, and cuts that they may have. After it was done, they've left them to rest and heal up under the healing machine for a few hours so that their wounds will be healed.

In the meantime, the Older Nurse Joy conversate with Snow during the time in which Young Nurse Joy was tending to the wounded. She greeted him with their traditional bow and charming smile.

"I'm terribly sorry about my younger sister, Snow. She's just taking care of her responsibilities. Yes, your Pokedex has arrived just in time from our delivery service. Give me a moment while I bring up your records."

The Older Nurse Joy begins to start up the Pokemon Registration Program and brought up Snow's records. So far the database has the correct info. The only missing piece of info is the starter Pokemon.

"Alright, everything is all set and according to plan. All I need now is your choice for a starter Pokemon."

With nothing more to do, Rai and Luke would rest under the healing machines. Her mind would wonder on about what she and Luke had actually accomplished in this day though she would soon fall asleep after some time had went by. Hopefully she would feel mush better once she awakened.

"Meditite please, female."

Snow had met a female Medicham before, and could've swore she had done nothing but stalk a male Lucario like it was Naruto to Hinata. He had seen that Rai had a Riolu and wanted to test his theory out of if it was a racial thing or something. You know, like white men loving mexican booty for some reason.

Older Nurse Joy finishes up the registration for Snow by placing his starter Pokemon in the database, locking in the info for him to have a female Meditite. The theory that Snow had about the whole stalking for racial booty/interracial action would echo through his mind through Zesu's voice.

Zesu: "You know you want that Meditite to tap dat Riolu's *males moan*, Snow~♥!"

The registration is now complete, Chansey would walk out of the Medical Lab with a Poke Ball on a pillowy platter to give to him. Out of the Poke Ball came out Snow's very own partner, Meditite. She greets him with her cry while keeping herself meditated on the ground. She is completely focused and relaxed.

"Congratulations! You are now an official Pokemon Trainer. Here is your Pokedex."

The Older Nurse Joy hands Snow his Pokedex while the Young Nurse Joy comes out of the Medical Lab, bowing to him in apologies while still maintaining her sad face.

Young Joy: "I'm terribly sorry for your friend, sir. It's my fault that she got hurt."

(Time Skip)

After her a few hours in the healing machine at the Pokecenter, Rai would begin to wake. She would feel much better as her wound would be seen to have healed quite drastically. She would get up from the bed and then walk over to where Luke was lying. He looked to be in a state of complete piece from Rai's point of view and thus would be left alone. She would take her leave from the room and head to the front of the Pokecenter in hopes of finding Nurse Joy.

Snow looked up at Rai as she came from the back. A small blush found its way onto his face. He was sitting in the waiting room with Media the Meditite sleeping on his lap waiting for her to recover. He had been worried about her and didn't want to leave without knowing she was alright. He was planning on going out on a journey as well but knew it would be wise to get some items in a few places before he did.

"Hey! How are you doing?"

He called, standing up without waking Media. He cradled her as she tried to Meditate in her sleep, and almost floated away.

The Older Nurse Joy bows to Rai once she walked out of the medical lab, smiling at her with her traditional charm and poise. She is slightly occupied with another trainer starting their own journey as they decide which starter Pokemon they wanted.

"Hello, Ms. Retsaki. I hope you've had a nice rest in the medical lab. Your friend, Snow, waited for you this entire time."

She would show her where Snow was sitting at to wait for her on the right side. She then went back into filling out the registration form for the newcomer.

"Also, my younger sister gives her best regards to you in apology for her request. You'll find her generous gift in the Pokemart."

As she was bowed to, Rai would return the greeting. As Nurse Joy finished speaking Rai would be a bit confused before realizing who she was talking about.

"Oh! The fellow who saved me and Luke. I remember him."

As the two began to walk over to his position, Luke would come walking towards them. It was as if he had sensed that Rai was no longer in the area and had awakened as well. She would pick him up unto her arms with a smile and a kiss on the forehead, a reward most appreciated by Luke. She then turned to Snow with the same smile as he asked his question.

"I'm feeling better now, thank you. It was nice that you stayed all this time to see how I was doing as well."

With that said she would blush a bit herself before turning away.

"Well, I'm going to go pick up something at the Pokemart, care to join?"

Snow laughed a bit at Rai. The pokemart was only a few feet away literally inside of the Pokecenter. He walked over to it and leaned against the counter, his shirtless form glistening with a bit of sweat since the heat was blaring in the pokemon center.

"Ready whenever you are. If you don't mind, there's a few places I want to stop around town too. I want to come with you on your journey. I'd rather get these things now instead of when we have to come back to face Granite."

Snow sighed. He knew it was going to happen eventually. They would have to go through the Luna Mountain Route 1 and then come back through it to face the Gym Leader of Luna Mountain Town.
