On the road to Sunset Town!

Haruka happily made her way out into the world, deciding to go to Sunset Town instead of Sunrise. She was so happy to finally be starting her journey and her excitement was shown to the world as she stomped her foot the moment she set foot on to Route 2.

"WATCH OUT WORLD, MY NAME IS HARUKA AND I'M HERE TO KICK YOUR ASS!"

Treecko burst out of its pokeball, shaking its head at its trainer.

Route 2, the second straight-forward path that leads to Sunset Town, the younger sister of the two paths for beginner Pokemon Trainers. At the beginning of the route there is a large path of grass to the right of Haruka with trees bristling it leaves through the gentle breeze. The sun lingers above the clear skies with small wind brushes around the lake breeze. There are a few beginner trainers lurking about capturing Pokemon and training their own to become stronger and build a better bond with each other. A very friendly route just like Route 1.

"Come on Ace, it's time to get this show on the road!"

Haruka shouted and rushed into the grass. She scanned around, looking for a pokemon to battle. She would challenge one of the trainers down the road later, but for now, she wanted to see where Treecko's strength laid. The feel of the itchy grass on her skin made her even more pumped and excited. Treecko, with the mild nature that it had, simply strode into the grass with its new trainer and sighed. It wondered if this is what it would have to deal with for the remainder of its life.

The anticipation of Haruka did stir up a bit of the inhabitants lurking about in the itchy grass along with Treeko mingling by her side in embarrassment. Deciding to peek out what was going on, an unknown creature trails behind the two adventurers curiously. However, it was very happy to see someone all together. At the same time, it sped up until it approach them directly right in front of them by playfully leaping about and stops. A tiny raccoon with very soft fur with a spiky appearance. The colors resemble a stripped brown and beige style. The raccoon look at them curiously with tiny beady black eyes.

"AH! A RAT! KILL IT WITH FIRE!"

Haruka shouted, making Treecko sweat. She held her pose, her finger pointed at Zigzagoon even as a piece of tumbleweed bounced over the ground. She sighed and scratched her head, whipping out her pokedex on her arm to scan the pokemon.

ZIGZAGOON restlessly wanders everywhere at all times. This POKéMON does so because it is very curious. It becomes interested in anything that it happens to see. The hair on ZIGZAGOON’s back is bristly. It rubs the hard back hair against trees to leave its territorial markings. This POKéMON may play dead to fool foes in battle.

"Alright then! Treecko let's get this started! Leer!"

Treecko followed its trainers orders and glared at the raccoon pokemon in front of it, urging to scare it so it would lower its defenses.

The leer that Treeko gave to the Zigzagoon did make it tremble from just the look itself, dropping its defenses slightly. The Zigzagoon felt that the gecko was mocking him with such a sinister look so he returned the favor to tell him that this tiny raccoon is not a pushover. He begin to remove his fear of the Treeko and release a threatening growl towards him, hoping to reduce his attack power and steadying himself for a battle.

The growl had its effect, making Treecko's attack fall slightly in fear, however, Treecko's were pokemon who didn't back down to any adversary, and this Treecko was no exception.

"Don't let it scare you Ace! Hit it with a pound attack and keep em coming!"

Treecko heeded its trainers call by quickly digging its hooked feet into the ground and rushing towards Zigzagoon. It turned and slammed its tail into Zigzagoon with a pound attack. Then it did it again, pounding Zigzagoon as if it were using a hand. There was more power behind the attacks than speed.

The Zigzagoon took the blow of Treeko's pound attack as it flops off of all four paws and gets up slowly. The damage from the attack took the same amount of health off of the raccoon due to it defenses lowered and the attack being at the same ration of the strike. The creature took a few more poundings until it swiftly escaped during the third strike and scamper some distance to separate each other. He glance an angry look on its face as Zigzagoon begin to charge at Treeko at full speed to ram itself on the gecko with much force. The tackle attack is commonly known to their type as their way to strike back when they're threatened.

"Stand your ground Ace and leer!"

Haruka called and Treecko once again did as told. It braced itself for impact and leered at the raccoon as it rushed towards it to frighten it and lower its defense. As the attack finally did hit, Treecko was sent flying back, the attack doing some decent damage but Treecko flipped in the air and landed on its feet, still in its fighting stance.

"Go get em!"

Treecko smiled, starting to like this girl more and more. It obliged its master and rushed in, leering at the Zigzagoon again. Then it turned and smashed its tail into it again for another pound attack.

The Zigzagoon defenses were being lowered each time from the leer as it continue to keep going in its battle stance. Keeping itself in distance, the Zigzagoon brace itself for anything that Treeko may come at him. Remembering the same strike from before that the gecko did to him, the raccoon pounce away from the slamming tail and countered back with its own tail whip attack. The tail whip would try to catch the Treeko off guard by lowering its defense slightly while aiming for another tackle at the gecko with full force once more.

"Ace, grab that bitch!"

Haruka's call was well received. As Treecko's pound attack missed, it dug its hook-bottom feet into the ground and as Zigzagoon tried to tackle it, Treecko held its hands in front of it. It grabbed Zigzagoon's head, stopping it dead center, though it hurt Treecko's hands a bit. With nowhere to go, Treecko leered it one more time directly in the face before flipping its slender body upside down and slamming its tail right on top of its head with a pound attack. Hopefully that would be enough to knock the pokemon unconscious.

*Fainted pokemon can not be captured. Their vitals are too low and the pokeball won't register it as a live pokemon.*

The Zigzagoon intention backfired completely as the Treeko disrupts its tackle and held it down to finish him off. The menacing leer given at him made the raccoon tremble in fear as it begin to whimper for a bit before the gecko used it pound attack at him once more. Having very little to no defense at all from the leers, the attack became a critical strike which results in the Zigzagoon into fainting. The whimpering died down as the raccoon passes out and unable to battle any further. Victory for Treeko and Haruka!

Treecko felt a bit stronger but nothing noticeable. It dusted its hands after the battle and walked back over to Haruka.

"Good job Ace! We're on our way to greatness already!"

She smiled at the victory and decided to continue on down the road. With a bit more confidence in her step, she pointed at one of the trainers along the route.

"YOU! OUR EYES HAVE MET SO NOW WE MUST DO BATTLE! HAVE AT THEE!"

Treecko sighed again, having just started to like its trainer. This was a bit too much though and it reluctantly hopped down to do battle. It was going to have to teach its trainer what the word 'Mild' and 'Composed' meant.

Out of nowhere, one of the trainers heard Haruka's voice calling her out for a Pokemon battle. Odd enough because its usually them calling out the first person that they make contact with instead. The female trainer turns around and looks around for a bit until she notice Haruka, speaking in confusion.

"Wait, what? You're challenging me? ME? I think you got the method all wrong. Whatever, I'll show you the might of my Pokemon!"

On that moment, the very first trainer battle for Haruka begins now. In addition, its the same for the female trainer as well since they're both newcomers.

Cue the Battle Music!

Random Announcer: "Looks like we got ourselves an intense Pokemon battle underway! Trainer Haruka vs. Trainer Kathy! Who will win?"

Trainer Kathy grabs one of her poke balls and toss it out to release her Pokemon.

Kathy: "Go, Audino! Let's show this girl who's the better trainer!"

The poke ball summon Kathy's Audino as it let out her cry in a playful manner. A bipedal, blue-eyed, pink-and-cream-colored Pokémon. The upper section of its face is pink, as are its floppy ears, exempting the tips and curled lower extensions which are cream-colored. The sides of Audino's chest and arms are also pink, somewhat resembling a jacket, although the tips of its forelimbs are cream. Its small tail is lumpy and white, similar to soft serve ice cream and rabbits.

Haruka crossed her arms and smiled deviously at the pokemon in front of her. She looked at Ace and Ace back at her.

"Let's pound it into the ground! CUTE THINGS MUST PERISH!"

With her cry, Treecko actually agreed with her for once and immediately attempted to rush in using its greater speed to slam its tail into Audino's midsection since the pokemon was bigger. But Treeckos small slender body is what gave it more speed in this situation and Audino weren't the most agile.

"Hmmm?"

As he began walking he noticed a slight scruffle between trainers. Thier pokemon have at it with each other. He didnt say anything refusing to make his presence known by any other means than him simply being thier...Hew as a very analyical person which ultmaitly lead to him asking so many questions. And now he would ask one to himself...

What the hell is going on here?

He though as thita could feel his curious mind rambling about...she tugged at his pants legs preforming a series of odd movements which in a way tld him what he needed to know...or at least gave him a hint..

"A pokemon battle huh?"

He had witnessed them before on much grander scale but his family called them bouts rather than battles. These trainers here were amateurs hours and dint really strike his fancy. Not to say Shabuto was a superb trainer himself...but he wasn't really impressed considering what he had witnessed before. He decided though to l; look at it until it ended just to pass the time by before he went on his way to where ever he was going.

"Audino, watch out for its strike and pound it to the ground!"

Audino took note to her trainer's command and it prepares herself to strike back. First, the fairy pokemon would attempt to avoid the tail attack aiming for its midsection, but it was slow to even barely dodge. Treeko's tail would slam successfully which would make Audino stumble about for a brief moment, but shook it off and begin to strike back in return. She would take her fist and fiercely aim to punch Treeko dead in the face with a furious blow.

Treecko wasn't one to let such a slow and straight forward attack hit it and easily dodged to the left to avoid the pound attack. Then it jumped up onto Audino and used its own pound attack right on the side of its head before dropping down and hopping back towards Haruka.

"Good going Ace, show it why we're not to be messed with!"

Treecko nodded and glared at Audino. The pokemon was slow and had low attack power, but its defense and health were nothing to scoff at.

"Interesting...."

He said as he and Thita glared at the battle...the treecko was using it opponents forces against it whilst delivering some counters of it own...it was a simple but effective maneuver...Perhaps they weren't so amateur...Perhaps. Gothita Wide eyes laid their gaze upon the treecko as if she had fell in love with it almost instantly...she could feel the nature of the pokemon its detemnation brimmed as it wailed on the Audio. Her fixation was now kicking into action

"Calm down Thita...you act as though you've never seen a man before..."

She scoffed, offended by his words her cheeks puffed up and she struck his knee with her pound attack.

"Ouch!....What was that for!"

Gothita: Thita gothita thita!"

She yelled at him scooting her nose in the air...her proud nature starting to show.

Trainer Kathy: "Ugh! This girl and her icky Pokemon is annoying the hell out of us!"

Audino: "Audi. Au~"

Even though Audino took a decent blow to the midsection and the head from Treeko's pound, it didn't show any resemblance of being weltered down. The fairy puff Pokemon kept it stance up and release a loud and powerful growl towards the Treeko to lower its attack power with a challenging threat. She wasn't going to back down nor get defeated by a skinny little twig of a gecko.

With Treecko's attack power down, it put them back on the same playing field since Treecko had already used leer. However, it leered at Audino again, this time taking a stance that showed that it meant business.

"Get fancy Treecko."

Haruka called with a smirk. Treecko darted at Audino. However, instead of attacking, it anticipated that Audino would think it was using another pound attack. Instead, Treecko ran and slid under the Audino, unleashing another leer attack as it did to freeze it up for a split second and lower its defense yet again. Once under and behind the Audino Treecko scaled the nearby tree, its body blending in with the canopy overhead. For several seconds there would me no sound, no sight, and no movement from Treecko.

"Like I said...POUND IT INTO THE GROUND!"

Treecko would launch itself from out of the tree above head aimed to smash its tail into Audino's head with ground shattering force and speed to smash its face into the ground and deal even more damage.

"Brutal..."

He said whilst Gothtia continued to eyeball treecko. Despite the fact it was camouflager see could still feel its emotions and still knew where it was.

"The girl has fight in her..."

He was getting into the battle...something he found a bit redundant in himself to be amused by such meager display of prowess. He found his face glued to the battle...though he tried to resit it was a futile effort he had to see it through to the end. He wanted to know though...what was driving her and her pokemon to fight?...what made pokemon fight to begin with?...this came with understanding pokemon in general...perhaps he needed a battle of his own.

(Bump! Zesu where are you? T-T)

Kathy's Audino quickly became unconscious from the shattering pound attack that Haruka's Treeko strike down. The camouflage and tactical actions that the trainer was giving to him was overwhelming the opponent's Pokemon and the opponent herself. Audino crashes down on the ground with tremendous force from the pound and rolls back to her trainer with swirly eyes, symbolizing faint. Unable to battle anymore due to having only one Pokemon, Trainer Kathy admits defeats. Victory thy name is Haruka and Ace!

Kathy: "No fair! This battle wasn't suppose to happen in the first place!"

Trainer Kathy returns her Audino into the Pokeball and runs off crying after the battle. At the same time, Haruka's Pokedex begins to update her amount of currency earned from the battle as well.

"Yatta! Good job Ace!"

Haruka cheered as Treecko ran back over to her and jumped onto her shoulder. Haruka didn't care about the trainers words after the battle. Sore losers weren't worth her time.

"Alright! Ace you seem stronger! Let's get a move on so you can be ready for your first gym battle!"

Without waiting or looking around, not sparing Shabuto a look, she continued on down the road.
