First Step: Sunrise Town

After obtaining his gear and his very first Pokemon, D'Raven begins his journey to become something with his life from a neet. His partner, Juno, follows him right by his side as well since he barely goes inside the Poke Ball. His travel began with Route 1 that connects from his hometown to Sunrise Town. The beginner trainer looks around the environment to check out where any sign of other Pokemon in the area. He basically had an encyclopedia of the Pokemon and their appearances from the TV shows and video games in his mind, but zero experience on what to do at all.

"Let's see here. If I just go straight ahead, then I can reach Sunrise Town without any problem. However, I need to train Juno so he can become a badass for whatever that may lurk around."

Both D'Raven and Sandile look at each other, blinking twice a few times.

"So shall we get to know each other through battle or shall we walk down the path and wander about?"

Juno gets a sweatdrop on the back of his head and spoke out its name. Was this guy really his trusted partner or a dumbass? Nevertheless, he nudged itself on D'Raven's leg and nibble it for a bit. The small nibbles made him giggle, but flinch from the teeth hit the wrong spot.

"Ouch!"

Juno quickly stopped and looked up at his partner, showing its small, beady eyes at him as a sign of apology. He sighed and let out a light smile along with a pat on his head.

"I know you didn't mean it. We're both new to this aren't we?"

The two begins to continue their journey by walking into the grass, unaware of what may come into contact.

The unaware trainer was being watched. The spectacle of him and his pokemon had drawn the attention of several families of pokemon in the area, but they were only curios, not dangerous. At least, not as dangerous as they could be. One pokemon was brave enough to approach the trainer from its grassy habitat. And then another. The curious little purple pokemon sniffed the air instead of approaching D'Raven any further however.

The two curious pokemon's ears twitched in curiosity. They were still very young.

Juno gets a strange feel that they were being watched by an unknown source as he clamp down on D'Raven's bottom legging and tug on it lightly. He wanted to warn his partner about it as he cry out his name a few times to catch his attention. D'Raven took note of his partner and spoke to him curiously?

"What is it, Juno? You sense something out of the blue?"

Out of nowhere, the two realized that there were two small, purple rat inhabitants lurking about and sniffling around them. One of them follow their trail curiously. D'Raven leer at the odd creature with a tilted head.

"Huh? A mouse or a rat?"

Suddenly, his Pokedex watch begins to vibrate and activate itself while scanning the presence of the newly introduced Pokemon. The scan becomes complete and gives out a brief detail about the creature to Zesu through a holographic picture of the Pokemon with detailed stats.

Pokedex: "Rattata, the mouse Pokemon. Rattata is a small, quadruped, but unspecialized rodent. Its most notable feature is its large teeth. Like most rodents, their teeth grow continuously throughout their lives, and must be constantly worn down by gnawing. It has long whiskers and a long, slightly curled tail. Rattata has purple fur on its back, and cream-colored fur on its stomach. This coloration (dark on top, light on bottom) is a common protective mechanism for many small animals. Rattata is widely known to roam around in groups or solo to gather nuts and berries from the environment."

The hologram instantly fades out as the Pokedex returns back to normal as an ordinary watch. Hearing about what a Rattata is, it seem quite enjoyable, but harmless at the same time.

"So you're a Rattata, huh? You look so cute! However, what can I do with one of you guys?"

Juno suddenly burst out in front of D'Raven and went into an attacking stance, cautious about whatever that the mice may be planning.

"Juno? What are you doing?"

The crocodile began his defensive strike by swiping its tail to release sand towards the Rattata's. This is known as the 'Sand-Attack' ability. This method is used to blind the target and reduce their accuracy of obtaining a preemptive strike beforehand.

The two pokemon flinched at Juno's stance. The younger one, R1, took a shaky step back while the older one, R2, stepped forward to protect her younger sister. The pokemon hadn't wanted to fight but now that Juno had taken a fighting stance, they would protect themselves and their territory.

Juno remained in its striking stance and slowly begin to open up its mouth to let a light gleam of its teeth sparkle out towards the Rattata family. The crocodile was itching to defend his trainer and have some fun defeating them. D'Raven, confused by all of this, wonder why was his Pokemon attack them for no apparent reason as he calls out to Juno to stop him.

"Juno, stop! There was no reason for you to attack them!"

Ignoring the command of his trainer, Juno leaps towards the older Rattata that is defending the younger one with a devastating bite. His mouth is wide open and ready to gnaw down on the mouse with vile intentions to defend and dominate.

(lol Dude, that completely goes against Juno's nature.)

The Ratata would have shown its superior speed and jumped out the way, however, it was still protecting its younger sister, so it braced itself for the attack. Juno's teeth sunk in, sending small amounts of darkness into Ratata's body and drawing blood as well. The younger Ratata yelped in surprise as it watched its older sister being eaten right in front of it. Scared and panicking, the younger pokemon did the only thing it could do.

Ratata's body suddenly became a blur and it slammed into Juno's snout, making it release the elder Ratata. The younger one stopped on the opposite side of Juno, holding its ground though it was shaking and obviously scared. The bleeding Ratata hopped back, panting heavily from such an attack.

(lol Unexpected twist and turn for a newbie trainer.)

Seeing the natural reality of Pokemon, D'Raven flinch and feels nauseated from the sight of Juno crushing the small Rattata with its mouth and teeth. Surely, all those years watching shows and playing video games should have trained him for this kind of situations. Unfortunately, there is a complete difference between fantasy and reality. He tries to call Juno out into halting his actions all together, hoping that his madness would come to an end.

"Juno! That's enough! Stop hurting those innocent Rattatas!"

The crocodile, however, is in a battle high for the very first time unknown to its own surroundings. Juno is unable to retain it senses after tasting the blood of the Rattata and crave for more. The older sister pushed him off of the younger one and made him focus his attention towards her. The Sandile intensively leaps towards the second one with much force for another devastating bite. However, before it would even reach the small mouse, its advance was halted by D'Raven due to his weak emotions of seeing anything being harmed.

"THAT'S ENOUGH!! THERE IS NO NEED TO KILL THEM!!"

Uncontrollable at his high, Juno suddenly bit his trainer in the arm with much force. He screams loudly in pain as he drops down to the ground while clinging onto him to restrain it, giving the time for the small pets to run away.

The older Ratata that was bleeding quickly limped away while the younger one prepared to follow. However, after seeing the Sandile attack its own trainer, the Ratata cried out and used Quick Attack to smash itself into the Sandile from behind, pushing it away from D'Raven. Ratata stood defiantly between D'Raven and Juno, protecting the trainer!

The other Ratata was gone from Sandile's view, but watching from a distance, hoping that its younger sister would not be hurt just like she had already been.

Juno, being the lonely nature, was unable to take any amount of damage lightly as the quick attack from the rattata proved it successfully. Not only did it damage the Sandile greatly, but it also knock some sense to the crocodile as it gets pushed off from his trainer and waggles to get back up on its four feet. It then notice D'Raven on the ground holding onto its arm and breathing heavily to restrain himself from letting the pain release any strain of blood or sounds that may cause other Pokemon to hunt him down.

Juno looked back at the Rattata and let out a terrifying leer to lower his defenses slightly and hope that it would run away instead of fighting. The true lonely nature of Juno kicks in as he tends to aid for his trainer as much as possible, wondering how it can help out. The creature began to use a bit of the sand from its 'Sand-Attack' to help reduce a bit of the pain that D'Raven is feeling.

Ratata was frightened by the leer but didn't back down. It didn't want this trainer to get hurt like its sister had and she watched Juno carefully as it used sand to help its trainer. If it could growl, Ratata would right then, but instead it settled for hoping up on D'Raven's stomach and watching Juno more closely, its low noises letting Juno know it didn't trust him.

'Why did you attack your own trainer?' The Ratata asked, prepared to attack again should the sand crocodile become violent again.

Juno continue to leer at the Rattata cautiously as it continued to lend its aid toward D'Raven's arm. The Sandile's focus for battle died down completely, but it kept itself ready for anything that the mouse may pull off. He let off low growls back at Rattata to explain about his unfortunate deed.

"I didn't mean to harm him. I just wanted to protect him from any trouble. It's my first time encountering anything and I disobey his orders...."

His low growls change into sad whimpers from what his actions has cause. D'Raven slowly got up to his stomach as he looks at his bitten arm, shaking his head from the pointless endeavor.

"I'm not suited for this at all. A potential Pokemon Trainer, my ass..."

The newbie trainer walked over to a boulder and sat on it in pity and shame. Being thrown out of his home and into the reality of what being a Pokemon Trainer is completely different than how it is on the TV. He tears off a sleeve of his jacket and wraps it around his burden arm to keep the pressure at bay until it healed itself. Juno, feeling bad for what he'd done, slowly crawls up to his partner and spoke out to him in a cry. He only looked down at the crocodile and show him the patched up arm.

"You see this? This is what your reckless behavior created! I don't know why I was stuck with this option at all! Let alone trying to calm you down. You know what? Why are you even with me in the first place? You can handle yourself since you have the power to kill a helpless Rattata. Go find yourself another trainer. I'm done with this bullshit!"

D'Raven's anger terrified Juno greatly, causing him to cringe and curl up towards his trainer. He really didn't want to leave his side no matter what due to his Lonely nature. He didn't mean any harm at all. He was only trying to protect his trainer and build a bond. D'Raven stood sitting on the rock while looking at the environment, unable to clear his mind and emotions.

The Ratata had seen enough and even when young understood where it wasn't needed. It quickly apologized to Juno but warned it to never come near any Ratata again before scurrying off to the aid of her sister.

Exp Drop: 30 (Due to not fainting either pokemon)

One hour later, D'Raven's anger slowly begin to lower as he realize the situation that his pokemon only imagine for his safety. Juno rest right on his lap before he realized it. The teen trainer looked down at him and begin to pet him gently, letting out a light smile for his brave deed. The Sandile slowly wakes up yawning with its mouth wide opened before clamping back down as it looks up at D'Raven.

"I'm sorry for yelling at you, Juno. I was just scared for what I've seen and didn't want to witness anymore. You were only doing your best to defend me from any danger and I failed as a trainer to realize that. Will you forgive me?"

Juno spoke out to him happily from hearing his partner not being angry at him. He would nuzzle against his cheek as D'Raven laughed lightly from it.

"Whoa, Nelly! Ok ok! You're happy, I get it!"

He placed him back down and gets back up on his own two feet. Ready to get back in the Pokemon game. This time, he won't back down from anything that may seem horrible to him. Human or Pokemon, it all ties down to the nature in general.

"You ready to get going?"

"Sandile!"

The two goes back inside the grass to seek out another target that they could seek out.

Just as they were going back into the grass they would find two sleeping pokemon leaned against one another. The two pokemon seemed to have eaten a lot of berries lately if the smudges on their faces and hands said anything.

The two would stop right near the sleeping Pokemon as D'Raven gives out a confused expression on his face. The newbie trainer used his Pokedex once more through his watch to get an understanding on what the hell these two pink Pokemon types are about.

Pokedex: "Jigglypuff, the balloon Pokemon. Jigglypuff's vocal chords can freely adjust the wavelength of its voice. This Pokémon uses this ability to sing at precisely the right wavelength to make its foes most drowsy. Looking into its cute, round eyes makes it start singing a song so pleasant listeners can't help but fall asleep."

Pokedex: "Audino, the Hearing Pokemon. Its auditory sense is astounding. It has a radar-like ability to understand its surrounding through slight sounds. Using the feelers on its ears, it can tell how someone is feeling or when an egg might hatch."

The Pokedex returns back to a normal watch as D'Raven kneels down to Juno and aids him to who to target first in whispers.

"Alright, Juno. Seeing that Jigglypuff is a balloon, it should be quite easy for you to pop it in one bite. Let's show these sleeping beauties a lesson in our partnership."

Juno nods and creeps up to the sleeping Jigglypuff in a stealthy manner using the dirt as a camouflage. When the crocodile reach nearby towards his target, he would leap towards the Jigglypuff and gnaw down on it with a powerful bite as a preemptive strike.

The unaware pokemon would be in for a rude awakening. Just as Juno opened its mouth to take a bite out of crime (lol), Audino awoke hearing its breathing. Its first reaction was to panic and wake its buddy but it was too late. Juno's bite would hit its mark and deal a critical hit to Jigglypuff. However, Jigglypuff's skin would prove to be thicker than they gave it credit for and the pokemon did not pop. It did, however, start panicking in confusion, trying its best to free itself from Juno's jaws.

Audino was scared, and was trying to pry Juno off of the Jigglypuff, but with both pokemon too panicked to use any of their actual abilities, it was almost a truly hopeless struggle.

"OH YEAH~! CHOMPIN DOWN ON DAT JIGGLY! NOW BITE DOWN ON DAT AUDINO LIKE YOU'RE PAC-MAN, BROTHA!!"

D'Raven said while using his corny expression of Macho Man Randy Savage while striking down some poses with it. Juno continued to devastate another blow to the surprised and open Audino with another bite. The Sandile readies it teeth of doom and prepares to unleash another painful bite to the Audino, not worried about the Jigglypuff for the moment. D'Raven begins to think about something.

"If I can recall from the Pokemon Live Action Series, Zesu began capturing Pokemon during his beginning journey to help him out in the future...."

A lightbulb suddenly pops above his head as he gets an idea, but before he slaps himself in the head due to the obvious factor of all Pokemon Trainers: Poke Balls. Even a five year old knew what to do for this situation! Why am I acting so slow, D'Raven? Because I'm a Neet! He takes out a Poke Ball from his bag and throws it towards the wounded Jigglypuff, hoping that he'll be able to capture it.

Random number (1,100) :

Audino would now recieve the bite from Juno, flinching at the blow and crying out in pain. It could do nothing but flail about, trying to get away from Juno.

Jigglypuff, on the other hand, was snapped shut inside of the pokeball. The ball hit the ground and shook.

...shook.

......shook.

........'click'!

The ball stopped moving completely, a successful capture of Jigglypuff. (Barely XD).

Exp Drop: 55

Juno's Exp: 180/210

D'Raven would pelvic thrust a few times for the successful capture of the Jigglypuff. His very first Pokemon capture felt so good that he was just doing an Irish Jig with his feet.

"Woohoo! My first Pokemon Capture! This isn't too hard after all! FINISH HIM, JUNO!!"

Juno continues to chase after the Audino as it attempts to gnaw it down once more with a powerful bite for the win. It's sharp teeth gleams towards it for the finishing blow.

Audino wasn't going down without a fight and turned around with tears in his eyes. It used a pound attack to smack Juno right back onto his ass. Audino was angry now, having its sleep disturbed and its friend taken from him. It didn't understand why it was being attacked like this but would not go down without taking its foe with it. Audino was ready to kill.

Just exactly when Juno was about to bite down on Audino it was sent back flying to the ground by one of it pounds. The Sandile rolled around confused for a brief moment on the dirt, but shook itself back on its four feet, gleaming down with a vicious leer to reduce its defenses. This was one tough crocodile that you really don't want to piss off. D'Raven looked at the sudden twist of the battle from seeing Audino lay the counter smackdown on his partner.



Surprised from the burst of rage that Audino pulled off, D'Raven nods his head at the puffy Pokemon.

"So you wanna play hard ball, huh? Okay, two can play that game! Use your Sand-Attack to blind that pixie puff, Juno! Then hit it with your specialty!"

Juno cried out loudly as it swipes its tail on the ground to release a large dust of sand at Audino for an attempt to reduce its accuracy and blind it momentarily. He would then attempt to camo itself into the dirt to creep around and strike down Audino with its menacing bites.

Audino would indeed be blinded by the sand attack and before it could try to recover, it would feel the bites coming at it, unable to pinpoint Sandile's location to stop it. After several more bites, some being critical, Audino collapsed, bleeding from multiple wounds and unconscious. It would die soon.

(-_- And you say I'm scary, you just up and annihilated both of those poor pokemon while they were just sleeping all cutely together.)

Exp Drop: 200

The two were done here, having shown the true skills of an up and coming pokemon trainer, albeit, a bit more brutally than normal. Such was the real world, however.

Juno's Exp: 380/510 Level Up! +2

After the random Pokemon battle, Juno came back to D'Raven with a happy facial expression. The little crocodile had a bit of the Audino's blood on its teeth, but cleaned it off with its tongue while showing off a grin that only a loving mother Sandile could love. D'Raven picked up his partner and pets him for a job well done. Although ruthlessly harming an innocent Pokemon from its natural habitat was cruel and unusual punishment. However, the world is cruel enough itself so might as well go nuts. After the whole battle was over, a sudden sign comes above their head that says "Level Up" with random Level Up music from a certain game plays.


In addition, a stat screen appears for Juno as it shows the upgrades for its power, speed, health, and anything else that a RPG uses. Plus, Juno has learned the ability 'Rage'. D'Raven looked around in confusion upon where the heck did all of this come from.

"I think I'm hearing those voices in my head again. The Neet life is taking over my brain again!"

He would scream loudly as the entire music stops and the stats go away, breathing frantically until it was just him and Juno. His partner gave him an expression that says "Really, dude?".

"Sorry about that, Juno. It's a long story why I feel that way. I'll tell you some other time. For now, let's keep going."

He place his Pokemon back down on the ground and the two went back into their own adventure.

If D'Raven would continue down the road, then he would come across a wide open area. In front of him, the pathway continued on towards Sunrise Town and didn't seem that much further ahead. To his left was a small beach with two fisherman silently and calmly awaiting a nibble with their rods in the water. Oddly enough, the sun seemed brighter in this area than it had closer to New Moon Village.

The increase of brightness around the area would signalize D'Raven upon the nearby arrival of Sunrise Town, but had to cover his entire eyes to keep the sun rays from toasting his eyes. Juno, however, had on some Kamina Shades with a "Deal with it" sense of fashion as he walks on his two feet somehow while striking a pose. His pose had both of its arms wrapped around its chest while wiggling it hips for a bit until crashing back down on the ground. A random audience begins to laugh at the shenanigans that the Sandile was doing.

"Looks like we're almost there to Sunrise Town. I've never been there so it should be quite new to me. Except for....*gulp* Interacting with people!"

Dramatic music twist suddenly plays out in his mind while Juno looked at him with a not amused expression. "Is this guy serious?", the Sandile thought in his mind. D'Raven would look around for a bit and notice a beach where two fishermen is patiently waiting for a bite from their fishing rods. Seeing that this would be a nice time to take a break, D'Raven went over to the beach and kneel down by the water to splash some on his face. Juno would run away from the water since he was quite scared of it and remained near his partner.
