The Journey Begins (Twilight Forest)

-=Having finally escaped Dusk City not to long ago Aluade his is partner Loki would casually be walking through the area. Soon enough the two would enter and area known as Twilight Forest which was known for the large amount of bug pokemon that resided within this forest of mystery. Alaude and Loki would now be on guard hopping to find a few pokemon to both battle and capture.=-

(^_^ Since we're just doing a beta, you can skip it for now, but you by passed Route 3. You're going to have to check your map often to know where you are going kay?)

The forest was foggy oddly enough. The usual bright and warm forest held a darker feel, no trainers nor pokemon being visible at this time. There was nothing and no one around this close to the forest exit. A foreboding presence would seem to fall over Alaude, almost as if willing him to turn the other way and head back from wince he's come.

"Assume you feel that as well Loki."

-=Alaude would say this once he felt the strange presence fall over him trying to scare him into turning around. However with the promises he made before leaving there was no way Alaude would allow anything to stop him. So with that in mind Alaude would continue forward ready to take on anything wishing to challenge him.=-

Not heeding the ominous feel, the path behind Alaude would cover in fog as he walked as well. Now there would be no visibility between his front and his back. The chill of the wind would bring about a stirring coldness that seemed unnatural for this place and even for the time of day. The sun was not visible in the sky. This fog seemed almost supernatural. However, through the fog, a lone pokemon would drop from a tree. It rolled on the ground for a moment before hopping to its feet. The pokemon hopped forward and faced Alaude and his Zorua, seemingly with great anger for some reason.

The pokemon stood defiantly as if glaring at Alaude and its body began to glow red.

-=As the wild pokemon suddenly appeared in front of Alaude and Loki the two would simply stop a few feet away. Loki would then quickly jump in front of Alaude would and take a fighting stance ready for battle. However just as fast as Loki stepped forward Alaude would move in front of Loki dropping to his knees to be on level with the seemingly enraged pokemon.=-

"Now look we don't want any trouble we are just passing through."

(D: Alaude-kun why won't you come to the chat box and talk to us? T-T)

The pokemon wouldn't seem to listen, which Zorua would be able to understand. It would stand in their path unrelentingly, which was very unusual for a pokemon such as Seedot. Its body slowly stopped glowing, however, seconds later it began to glow again in defiance to Alaude and Zorua.

-=Seeing the Seedot was not listening to Alaude once again Loki would jump forward and would attempt to do battle against the Seedot. However while waiting for a command Alaude would once again move in front of Loki and would sit down between the two. Alaude would then pull out his pokedex which was black in color and would point it toward Seedot just to read and get a general understanding of it.=-

"Seedot I do not know what has you so angry but I will not simply fight you to just create more hatred in your heart. If you wish to attack me then go ahead I will not fight back."

The Seedot seemed incapable of listening. Talking to it seemed to hold no fruit, and the longer Alaude stayed in this area, the thicker the fog would appear. Soon, the effects would start effecting Zorua, sending the small pokemon into a bit of a rage. The Seedot did what it had been doing for the past few minutes, biding its time away in front of them. Sounds of other pokemon drawing closer would be heard through the bushes and tress.

SEEDOT attaches itself to a tree branch using the top of its head. It sucks moisture from the tree while hanging off the branch. The more water it drinks, the glossier this POKéMON’s body becomes. If it remains still, it becomes impossible to distinguish from real nuts. It delights in surprising foraging PIDGEY.

The pokedex went off with a hologram of Seedot and gave the level of the current pokemon in front of him.

-=Alaude would begin to pick up the noise of other pokemon in the area and would also notice Loki starting to act strange. Quickly thinking Alaude would return Loki to his pokeball and would begin to running in a direction away from the location of the Seedot. Alaude was now simply moving through the area attempting to not only find and exit but possible the location of what ever was causing the fog. Being creative Alaude would keep his pokedex out which would instantly scan any pokemon near by even if Alaude himself could not see it right away.=-

The Seedot would attempt to run after them but it would be too slow and easily left in the dust.

Alaude was running back towards the exit he had entered the forest from, however he ran far longer than he had walked into the forest. Something was terribly wrong here. By the time he stopped, the entire area would be a thick and dense fog, even one the pokedex's radar could not pierce. There were no longer any trees around, just a thick fog that blanketed everything.

'What are you looking for?'

A voice echoed in the fog around him.

-=Alaude would stop after running for a while and would take a moment to catch his breath. However looking around it was clear that things where getting worse as the horrible fog became all Alaude could see. Soon a strange voice would enter into his ear and speak to him.=-

"That is simply a pathway to a new beginning for myself and my home. What do you seek voice?"

The area around Alaude would suddenly feel with malicious laughter.

'Someone to entertain me. Give me a good show, Nightwing.'

The fog would clear in front of him, revealing a long path heading towards a part of the forest he had yet to go. However, someone was standing in the path, a pokeball in hand. It looked like a younger teen, 13 years old at max. But he had a dark look upon his face and wore all black clothing, red chains hanging from his pants. Tossing the pokeball in front of him, he unleashed his pokemon.

-=Alaude would remain silent through out the laughter and would then carefully fallow the path that lead to a young pokemon trainer who would quickly bring out his pokemon. Alaude was somewhat suspicious of this person but by trainer law once challenged it was a trainers duty to accept. Alaude would then quickly pull out his pokeball and would throw it forward unleashing Loki who would stand right in front of Alaude ready for battle. The two would then wait to see what the trainer would try first.=-

The trainer's lips moved but no sound seemed to come out. The small fire monkey, however, began moving. It rushed forward towards Zorua, its eyes glowing in the dark ambiance of the forest as it leered the creature to induce primal fear and lower its guard and defense. Pansear was rushing in swiftly, however, at the last second, it jumped up, going over Zorua and aiming to scratch Alaude himself with a powerful rake of its claws.

-=As the small monkey pokemon attempted to startle Loki with its Leer attack it would be instead met with Loki's very own deadly leer leaving the two at a stalemate. However before Alaude would give any type of command the Pensear would lunge forward and would attempt to attack Alaude instead of Loki. However as the Pensear came in with is deadly scratch attack Alaude would not seem to be even a little afraid. Instead as the Pensear attempted to attack Alaude in all most and instant Alaude would not only begin dodging the Pensear's attack but after taking a few steps back Alaude would kick up some dirt into the Pensear face hopefully blinding it. While not having the best life style growing up in Dusk City did have its advantages such as picking up a few fighting ideas while dealing with the oppressive security forces.=-

"Loke use Scratch!"

-=Taking advantage of Pensear being distracted with Alaude and possibly unable to see clearly for the moment it was the perfect chance for Loki to attack. The small black pokemon would quickly rush toward Pensear and would attempt to attack Pensear from behind with its powerful claws.=-

Alaude's tactic would prove effective. Both pokemon would have their defenses lowered by the leers and since Panser had missed its mark, using its arms to swiftly block its face form the dirt, Zorua's attack would hit just as it landed on the ground. Pansear cried out in pain and stumbled a bit before turning towards Zorua with narrowed eyes.

With the only available attack in its current arsenal, Pansear leaped forward and scratched Zorua right back. Pansear's defense was higher than Zorua's, however, Zorua's attack power was much higher than Pansear's so the attacks would seem a bit even, though Zorua's did more damage. Pansear already seemed tired from just the one scratch alone.

"Loki counter with Scratch as well."

-=Loki would nod and would leap forward toward Pansear matching blow for blow with its claws. It would seem the two where rather equal in both power and stats so unless Alaude could think of something fast things would not go so well for Loki in the long run.=-

"Loki use Pursuit."

-=Loki would hear to command and after one last clashing of scratch attack at super closer range Loki would lunge forward attempting to slam directly into Pansear's chest with a large amount of force. With this move if Pansear attempted to escape the close range attack because of the power of Pursuit even when trying to escape Loki would fallow to land its hit.=-

It was clear that both pokemon had landed scratch attacks, but Pansear would finally start seeming like it was taking more damage. With Alaude's call of pursuit, the match was all over. When Zorua slammed into Pansear's chest, the power of darkness bursting into it as well, Pansear was knocked unconscious and hit the ground next to Alaude. However, instead of being returned to its pokeball, the pokemon began to decompose until all that was left was clean bones. The trainer that stood off from the battle would have a look of utter terror on his face before the same fate befell him, his body melting away until nothing but his clean skeletal remains were left.

'Very impressive indeed, Nightwing. I suppose I'll let you go just this one time. But I'll be seeing you again soon...'

The voice giggled before vanishing. The fog that was in the area dissipated and gave way to a clearing. There was only one path leading south now, but after that, the roads split going East and West.

Trainer Battle Victory!

-=With the opponent defeated Alaude would release a rather large sigh happy that he was able to win but a little tired from the amount of work needed to be done. As the pokemon and its trainer quickly turned to bones Alaude would quickly appear near Loki to make sure he would be safe as the two disappeared. With the voice also disappearing Alaude would stand up and would return Loki to his pokeball before continuing. Meeting the fork in the road Alaude would think for a moment and would decide to head west hopefully leading him to some pokemon and a safe location.=-

Alaude's journey through the forest actually wouldn't last much longer. The forest wasn't that big, it was just maze like. And with the weird happenings going on here, it took a little longer than two hours to get through. It would only take several minutes before Alaude would be met with more opposition however. This time it would be in the form of several pokemon...

The Weedle was currently shooting poison stings at the flying Beedrill while the Beedrill dodged about the Weedle with their superior speed. It could have either been the Beedrill messing with the Weedle or a training exercise...whatever the case, one of the Beedrill would spot Alaude and wouldn't hesitate in darting at him a poison sting of its own. The other Beedrill didn't pay attention and instead decided to just keep avoiding the Weedles attack.

-=Like before with the last pokemon that attacked Alaude right before the attack could his Alaude would side step out of the way of the attack. Alaude would then roll to the side picking up a rock and tossing it toward the Beedrill aiming for its right eye to side blind it.=-

"Now Loki use Pursuit."

-=Alaude would throw his pokball toward the Beedrill and Loki would quickly erupt from the ball. Loki would then dart forward and attempt to his the Beedrill with is Pursuit right in is hopefully blind spot do to the rock being thrown at it.=-

Beedrill's missed attack would only lead it to anger further. As Alaude threw the rock, the Beedrills fast beating wings would allow it to quickly dodge, though narrowly. By now, the small Zorua would already by using its pursuit attack, but Beedrill's superior speed and technique would allow it to attack just as Zorua did. As Zorua hit Beedrill with darkness, being not very effective, Beedrill struck back with a poison sting that had a 50 percent chance of poisoning the small pokemon. The jab itself would deal a small amount of damage to Zorua, but enough to be wary about.
