Kaitlyn is the daughter of Kyo Kusanagi, the head of Kusanagi Industries in Stardust City. Being the daughter of the most powerful man in Elestia should sound like a blessing, however, it is far from it. Kaitlyn has lived in Sunset Town with her elder sister Nia for most of her natural life. However, Nia was called back to the Hoenn region three years ago, leaving Kaitlyn alone. Due to her living alone, Kaitlyn doesn't talk much, only ever seen smiling around her closes friend and secret crush Drache 'Turbo' Von Laurel.

The two seem very similiar on the outside, though they have very unique personalities seperate from one another. Kaitlyn is calm, though easiily angered. She has a natural love for people and pokemon, though she wouldn't hesitate to protect what's important her, even at the cost of another's life. Her darkest secrets, even those of which she hasn't told Turbo remain locked inside her heart, and will be revealed as her journey in Elestia progresses.
