Exploring The Unexplored!

As Rai moved up the stairs, a chill would run down her spine. However, nothing else would happen. As she reached the second floor, she would be greeted once again by debris blocking off the hall to her right, and also blocking off the hall in front of her. There was only one direction to go, which was through the office directly in front of her. There was no door on the hinges, yet, it seemed as if someone had attempted to block the door with a small desk. The desk was on its side, indicating someone had knocked it over already.

The room itself would be small, and lead out into the next hall from the other side. It was definitely a studio used for broadcasting, as there were microphones, headphones, and other old broadcasting equipment spread out everywhere. On the floor, inside one of the drawers that had come out of the desk would be a small pellet. It was a TM containing Shadow Claw.

As Rai ascended the staircase the sudden chill alone was enough to halt her movements for a moment and look behind her only to find Luke looking up at her.

Man, this place is getting to me...

She thought, dismissing the feeling as part of her imagination as she continued onward. Now here she was again faced with obstacles obscuring more pathways and leading her to walk down the only accessible one through the small office.

Rai took little notice of the knocked over desk while stepping over it since it blended so well into the overall feel of the building itself. Now she was heading to the exit while looking around the room and kicking most of the debris out of her way to do so, though would come across the glint on the TM hiding inside the taken out drawer. Another interesting find to take with her before leaving out of the room to traverse yet another hallway.

From both sides of Rai would emerge from the wall two Duskull. Both of them would swirl around her head once with great speed before smacking her in the face and chest, their double Astonish attacks, that would send her falling to her butt. As well, she would feel an icy chill running through her core. This would be the first time Rai had ever been attacked and hit by a pokemon.

Rai's Health: 90/100 (Percentile) (All trainers have a health rating of 100 percent. The strength of an attack done on them is based on a percentile, unless super effective, in which the percentile is doubled. In this case, Astonish is a weak attack, only doing 5 percent damage each to a trainer. Moves like flamethrower would deal no less than 40 percent damage while using a random number generator of 100 to determine the full amount done. Trainers are fragile, however, as a Martial Artist, you already have the greatest defense against pokemon attacks.)

After the two would make their swift attack, they would vanish back into the walls.

"Hmm...?!"

Rai had been caught up, didn't even see the two coming as the appeared from the wall and initiated their double astonish attack. She clutched herself tightly while falling down as Luke quickly rushed up behind her. His intentions were to fend them off after catching his beloved trainer but by then they had already vanished.

She sat in his arms for a while clutching herself from the attack, seeming to be in a slightly shocked state. Luke urged her to stand and even helped her up a bit until she recovered. They then continued, Luke keeping very alert of the situation at hand using aura in an attempt to detect them.

There would only be the one path still as Rai moved on cautiously. She would have to turn right again, this time heading into a second office/studio booth to reach the opposite side. It would be the other side of the debris she could not pass from when she had traversed up the stairs. From within the small office like cubicle, she would be able to see the stairs to the next floor already. This floor was extremely small. However, a not so subtle chill would run down both her and Lucario's backs. Not even a second later would a large cabinet next to her begin to fall right on top of her. It was too close for Lucario to stop and only she would be able to do something about it.

Most girls of her stature would have fled from this place by now, but Rai had already been through too much to face such a cowardly path. In fact, it had only taken a bit of time for her to shake off such a sensation as she had earlier felt in order to continue on the path spread out before her and Luke. It was only on that path, however, that trouble would arise again. As expected, of course.

A tingling sensation would shoot throughout her body as a result of the chill running down her back as well as Luke's yet it wasn't anything knew in there time being here. Because of this, she was able to shake it off in time to catch sight of the falling cabinet and grip onto it as to not get completely smashed, yet, it was still pretty heavy to hold up. This gave her few choices to make and very little time in which to execute them. Luckily, though, one of these few choices happened to be one of the most useful as a faint glow from her being presented itself causing the sight of the cabinet to be slowly pushed back to it's upright position. What had allowed her to do this was none other than her ability to use Strength. It was at this time that Luke would rush to her aid, providing his share of what strength he had in him to push alongside his partner. Whether it be needed or not, it was what he was willing to do for her that counted, not if he was successful or not in his deeds.

With that out of the way, all the two would do is exchange brief glances to one another. The kind of glance that said 'As long as we're together then we'll be fine', which was all the incentive they needed to continue.

The two would continue onward in the second floor of the Radio Tower, traversing through the dark corridors around their environment with caution and careful tactics. They venture upward from the stairway and ends up at the third floor of the radio tower. The floor was mainly the end of the line to venture further as the remaining debris of what was once left of the remaining building. The radio antenna tower remain stationary within the field, but not fully stabilized for maximum wave connections for other stations to ping. Most of the surface around the floor was collapsed except for a few points around the area. There was a few small bridges connecting a couple of small tile brick floors that leads to the center of the building. Within the center, there was an odd glowing light.

Now on the third floor, there was little more to be done other than search around in hopes of finding something of value seeing as how their roaming was limited. The two would do well to avoid any dangers they saw of possibly encountering some unstable flooring being as cautious as they were whilst inspecting about. Sooner or later, however, the two would find themselves heading in the direction of the center building after crossing one of the bridges leading to it and inevitably taking notice of the odd light glowing in it.

Could this be the mysterious light so many have spread rumors about? Well, there was only one why to find out. Taking the lead towards it would be Rai with Luke cautiously following a few feet behind her.

Rai carefully took her time walking across the slightly stable bridge path towards the center of the room that has the oddly glowing light. The structure creaks slightly loud from the lack of maintenance within the facility so there is still a chance for a sudden fatal encounter for herself if it would break. Once she reached the center, the oddly glowing light kept shining within the pitch black darkness of the Radio Tower. The light glows on a Reaper Cloth item that lies at the exact center of the tile floor.

That's it, just a little closer until she got found out what that mysterious light was. They had well deserved to know coming this far. With it just sitting there in the center of the room, Rai would cautiously approach, though her something told her that this was a bad idea. Because of this she would stop and turn to Luke about a few meters away from the glowing item while motioning for him to stay her. Reluctantly, he agreed.

She just didn't want them both to be in a bad situation if things got out of hand and, by the looks of it, there was a little more to this than would meet the eye. Nonetheless, she was willing to put herself in jeopardy by continuing on in hopes of grabbing hold of the Reaper Cloth and inspecting it herself.

As Rai picks up the Reaper Cloth, the light would continue to glow around the center as she inspects the cloth. Once picked up, there lies another item underneath it. The item was a Black Train Ticket, an item that can be used to travel around the train stations in Dawn City for free for as much as she wants. Lucky for her that she found a two for one deal within this tower, huh?

"Oh, no way!"

She said while also picking up the ticket underneath the cloth. In all her life she had never thought she'd get the chance to acquire one of these tickets seeing as how rare she was told they were. Luckily for her though someone had left one behind. Well, ya know what they say, 'one man's trash...' and all that junk. Now it was time to decide what to do next as Rai finally motioned Luke over towards her, yet that was the hard part. The only thing that could be seen was the light source in the center of the room. Everything else was utter darkness. She had to think of something to do or else they would be fumbling around in the dark until they found an exit. Or worse; until something found them.

The moment when Rai picked up the Black Train Ticket is when things begin to suddenly trigger, causing a chain reaction for picking up the ticket and the cloth. The shining light around the floor fades away quickly along with the exit to the stairway and the bridges. The darkness thickens tremendously with pure instinct to engulf anything into it environment never to be seen again. The center was the only remaining spot laminating any chance of survival within the darkness with a faint glow. Within the small center area, a sudden chill ran into Rai with a jolt of despair along with the moment. Through the darkness a large, grey and stubby leg stuck out of the open and another comes along with it. It slowly begins moving towards them and revealing more of itself. The shadowy creature has two wispy, light gray growths coming out of its shoulders and one on top of its head. Its light gray hands appear to be directly attached to its body. The body is absolutely hollow from within and an eye begins to open, glowing bright red to signal awake as it lets out a loud cry. What Rai is now witnessing in front of her very own eyes is nothing more than the deadly Dusclops, The Beckon Ghost Pokemon. The ghost Pokemon speaks out and rumbles the entire building, causing a ravaging shockwave within the facility to strike fear within Rai. The theme begins to play for the ghost.

"WHO DARES DISTURB THE SLUMBER OF DUSCLOPS AND AWAKE THE WRATH?!?!?"

It looks like it was all too good to be true in getting away with both the ticket and cloth unscathed which she knew wasn't going to be the case from the beginning. Even so, she would not be expecting such an event to take place before her.

With the Dusclops making it's presence known Rai had been forced to take a knee from the sheer weight of her emotions. The unpleasant kind mostly, yet the burden would less as Luke stepped into the picture. Like a shimmering knight he had taken a defensive stance in front of his loyal part while the ground shook beneath his feet and his surroundings dissipate.

"I don't suppose you can go back to sleep and we can be back on our way?

He said, speaking in a rather anxious and somewhat defensive tone. He didn't want any trouble to be cause here but if he had to fight, he would.

Dusclops look down at the Lucario defending Rai, glaring right back at him as he speaks out to the Beckon Ghost and demanding him to sleep. Unfortunately, it was already too late once she picked up the ticket. The eye of Dusclops glow brighter as another shockwave bounce around the area and the darkness echoes the sound. It was furious for being awaken by them and now they'll be punished for it.

"You dare tell me to return to my slumber while you get off Scot free with my treasures? YOU SHALL BE CONSUMED BY THE DARKNESS AND FOREVER BE HOLLOWED BY THE DAMNED!!"

The Dusclops makes a first strike instantly by engulfing its hand into a shadow fist, clenching it greatly and striking the Lucario with much force as a sign of denying the peace treaty. Any chance of evasion was completely null due to the unknown pinpoint location to predict it. This was known as the "Shadow Punch" attack.

Unable to dodge such a blow Lucario had no choice but to take it. This would knock him away to roll on the ground elsewhere right in front of Rai. It was clear to her that this wasn't going to end well if she didn't pull herself together, and not ending well just wasn't an option. She shoved the hand that held her newly acquired treasures within her bag whilst Luke pulled himself to his feet with an aggitated look on his face.

"So that's how it's gonna be, huh? So be it..."

He said this while looking towards Rai, waiting for her to give the commands. It was only then that she had called out.

"Keep up your guard with Foresight, Luke!"

She had deduced that, like many pokemon she encountered here, this one was highly likely to also be a Ghost type pokemon. Being the type of pokemon Luke was, this match would have damn near been one sided without that move. Then again, Rai had a trick up her sleeve. Without a second thought Luke would be analyzing the Dusclops before him in preparation for future attacks. With this taking place Rai would stand to her feet with her Pokedex in hand, doing a bit of analyzing herself.

Dusclops fist engulfs into a fiery blaze as it cocks its arm and fist back and prepares to launch a devastating 'Fire Punch' towards Lucario. The ghostly giant Pokemon release its fury towards the defender with a large impact towards it as an attempt to strike him down in one blow to get rid of the opponent. The ghost yells out in terror while doing so with its attack. All that determines the impact is what would Lucario and Rai would imply as a counterattack.

A decisive moment was now upon the two and a choice had to be made. Now, Rai didn't know what had come over her in thinking up such an idea as she did, but she had to take the chance. Hopefully this long shot idea would be worth the risk.

"Luke, don't give in. Endure it!"

She said while slipping her pokedex away and rushing off towards their position. Showing no sign of defiance he would comply, throwing his hands up across his chest and ready to brace in his fate. A glow unlike most would be seen coming from the initial point of impact act Luke struggled to maintain focus with his feet scraping backwards do to sheer force. This wouldn't last long, however, as the attack should have come to an end allowing Luke to stagger back just barely holding on.

However, by this time, Rai should have been face-to-face with the Dusclops already in the process delivering a devastating blow to it in a downward direction, smashing it into the ground with the power of a Mega Punch. From then on she would leap away from it as to position it in between herself and Luke.

The 'Fire Punch' was extremely effective against the Lucario that it should have instantly fainted the defender, but the power of 'Endure' grant the savior a second wind for the fight. Seeing that the impact was mighty it gave a huge gap difference between the two. Unfortunately, he would come across with a diving Rai aiming at him with a 'Mega Punch'. Once Rai comes at him with his Mega Punch, so would Dusclops with its 'Shadow Punch' to cause a collision between the two. Both of their hits would collide and share the same damage, but Rai would be knocked back from the shadowy punch that sends her flying back to her Luke.

Not how she expected, but the situation seemed adaptable. After being forced over to Luke he would catch her and hold her up to her feet while she helped him do the same.

"Follow my lead."

Was all that was said until Rai slowly began running towards the Dusclops, her speed gradually increasing while Luke followed behind.

Dusclops stood its ground as it watch closely at both Rai and Luke slowly charge at him increasing velocity. The darkness around all of them begin to thicken with much force while the ghost Pokemon keeps itself at a stasis moment. At the moment to halt any of their attempts to double team him, several fiery wisp orbs began to float around him and shot out in a shotgun burst manner towards them both, aiming to inflict them with tremendous burning flames. This was known as the Will-O-Wisp attack. At the same time, his shadow kept in a near distance within itself and separated into the darkness.

"Now Luke, use Quick Attack!"

It was the perfect moment, right as the wisp orbs began to form and were shot out at both of them. It was in that time frame that Luke would perform his attack in attempts to strike Dusclops from the left while also swiftly evading the whisps using the attacks speed to his advantage. Of course, he wasn't alone either. In that same time frame Rai had been speeding up in preparation to deliver her Mach Punch of unbelievable speed in attempts to strike Dusclops from the right that would match up with Luke's hit if that had made contact.

They may have evaded the Will-O-Wisp attack rushing towards them as they rush at him, but at the same time the dynamic duo fell prey to his own ace up his sleeve. As Rai and Luke rush near him to strike down Dusclops with their double attack, his shadow splits in two by using the amplified force of the darkness around them and slides underneath their presence. A shadow form of himself appears right behind both of them and struck them greatly from behind, not only to interrupt both of their attacks, but also fainting Luke in one go. The Ghost Pokemon remain unscathed from the attacks, but still felt a bit of force from Rai's Mach Punch before his own counterattack.

With Rai's plans dwindling as she come to a halt from sliding across the ground it was time to get serious. No more going with the last resorts. She'd stand to her feet while producing two pokeballs with a relatively pissed look on her face. One of them would beam her fallen comrade inside so that he be rest. He did well enough to deserve a break. From the other would be Rai recently acquired Ambipom that she'd wasted no time in putting to use.

"Alright Ambipom, use Agility."

A simple enough task as Rai charged in attempting to deliver a Brick Break. She only had one job to do now, and that was taking out of this pokemon.

The Dusclops was still ready to continue with the battle as long as its opponent is still thriving to defeat it. It kept itself in alert as it awaits for the next move that Rai may make. The next Pokemon she thrown out giave her another chance to defeat the gastly Pokemon, but also risk herself into meeting certain doom as well. As Rai rushes towards Dusclops, the 'Brick Break connects against him, but at the same time she was in range to get grabbed by him as well. He takes its hand and attempts to grab her with a 'Bind' attack, keeping her restricted with both movement and attacks while suffering damage along with it.
