In Need of a Hero: Twilight Forest Event!

Haruka got on guard, leaving both Lombre and Grovyle out beside her.

"You! You're that rude bastard from the pokemart! You're the one behind this?"

She clenched her fist, her resolve to do the right thing shaking her fears. She was ready to fight and to save the boy. She remembered him! He was the one whom she had seen when she was looking for clues the previous day.

The Twilight Shard continues to hover above Ken's hand, emitting a green shine around his palm while the guy himself gave a sinister smile towards them. There is something completely off about him all together. He first responded towards D'Raven's question, then to Haruka.

"Ah yes. The so called "trainer" that promised to help out the community. I still remember that wannabe tough act in front of Nurse Joy. Big talk for a wee little man."

His focus went back to Haruka and spoke to her question.

"Perhaps I am. Perhaps not. The main question is why are you Pokemon Trainers have to meddle in things that doesn't involve any of your business?"

Ken walked around with the crystal shard hovering about his hand still. His glare went back to the shine of the shard and remain possessive.

"For your answers, I'll say that you two have walked into your own deathtrap. Just like the rest of those so called "Pokemon Trainers".

D'Raven listen to Ken's cockiness and confidence as he knocks down his morale with each word. The way how he mocked him as his skills of a trainer really grind his gears. Yes, he may not be the better Pokemon Trainer compared to the rest who is dedicated into being one. However, that doesn't mean that he can give it his all. Clench his fist in anger for wanting to punch the living shit out of Ken for his own selfish attitude, but kept his distance for a while longer. For now, all they could do is just listen. They don't want another dire situation just a moment ago.

"So what you're saying is that You may be the cause of it and may not? WHAT KIND OF FUCKING BULLSHIT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT??"

Haruka felt a chill run down her spine. Where were the Officer Jenny's that had entered the forest? Where were anybody else? This didn't feel right.

"You...you killed them..."

Haruka felt tears stinging her eyes. Her breath hitched, her lips trembled, and her body shook with sadness and rage.

Ken looked at the two bored. He stretched his body and yawned before walking over to the little boy and kicking him onto his back, getting a pained howl from the already crying child. Ken looked at the two pokedex wielders and smiled.

"I don't got a lot of time to deal with you fools. I can already feel that the boss wants to awaken the other one in the Luna Mountains. We need to get prepared for number three, so I'm going to leave you guys with a bit of knowledge before your deaths."

Ken showed them the jewel in his hand.

"We are the Dark Descendants. We are here to right the wrongs done to us by the Professor's of every region. Society, the pokemon League, and Professor's have looked down on those of us who did not rightfully inherit the pokedex for too long and we are fighting back now. Why should fools and weaklings like you two deserve the pokedex but those of us who had done nothing but be kind to pokemon no? So instead of wallowing in our own self-pity, we're going to take the fight to those who have shunned us. Starting with this! The Twilight Shard. With this, we can turn people with pain in their hearts into deadly killing machines. I bet you both didn't realize that this child's mother abused him for most of his natural life because Prof. Cresciendo already said he could not have a pokedex. Who is she to decide that huh? His father was a pokedex wielder and his mother expected him to be too. But just because he can't, he's treated like dirt. And he accepts it, claiming to still love his good for nothing bitch of a mother."

Ken knelt down next to the kid, lifting his head up by his hair.

"Well I'm going to release your true feelings kid. Prepare to have your darkest secrets revealed."

Ken put the Twilight Shard to the boys head, letting him absorb it. The result was instant, a dark aura exploding from the child's body as he rose in the air and let out a ear shattering scream. Ken smiled at his work and turned to face the two as the transformation progressed.

"Maybe you should've wondered why the hell you two were chosen for something as special as the pokedex instead of blindly taking it like some natural toy given to anybody."

Ken turned and vanished in a ripple, leaving the two with a newly transformed person...See No Evil.

The sight of seeing Ken abuse the child without any remorse made D'Raven cringe in pain from each hit, but furious at the cruel bastard. He really wanted to rush up towards him and knock the living crap out of the heartless guy, yet his fear kept him grounded right by Haruka to prevent any sudden traps to trigger against them. All they could do is hear Ken out in his biography of the Dark Descendants and their reason upon action. Deja Vu on the same reaction isn't it? Well some things have to repeat before another event triggers a sequence.

The explanation about the Dark Descendants instantly match the exact description on how his 'Pokemon: Elestian Obsidian' foretold where the main trainer came across the very first boss. However, the only difference is that there were only Pokemon being hostile and saved. Not human beings. Reality is really a huge kick in the ass for D'Raven and this was the extra kick with the mach kick to score for a touchdown. The Dark Descendants was a sad story indeed, but it sounds more like a spoiled brat who couldn't get what they wanted regardless of how limitless mommy's credit card and daddy's wallet is filled. He facepalm and shook his head during the explanation. He didn't even asked to become a Pokemon Trainer and this is where his life is hanging on the balance.

"Okay, we get it. You're a group of people who wasn't able to get their precious 100,000 PK Nike's and decide to take over the world. What else is new? You take control of children and Pokemon to threaten us?"

And exactly how D'Raven explained was the correct answer that he'd said by Ken using the child as bait for his own foul play. In addition, a brief detail upon how the child was abused by his mother because of rejection from the Pokedex and as a Pokemon Trainer. This instantly place him in checkmate and shut him down from saying anything else to Ken since he can resemble the child as well. The only difference is that both of his parents beat him senseless for not becoming one by own choice. He looked away in disgust and let out a groan along with it, gritting his teeth in anger and despair mixed together. When Ken spoke to the child and at them about unleashing his "true feelings and darkest secrets", it only made him look up in question and confusion about that statement. Something really bad is going to happen.

"Wait, what do you mean by "true feelings and darkest secrets"? You're only using him as a decoy for you own self-cowardice."

Once Ken used the Twilight Shard on the child, D'Raven was just about to interrupt them by telling Sandile to delay them.

"Quick, Sandile! Rush him with your-"

Too little too late. The child screams abruptly and a dark aura immense all around him, causing D'Raven to stand down and look away from the sight of it all. His ears cover up by his hands from the horrid screech. His hearing became paralyzed for a brief moment until it was over. He looked towards Ken as he disappeared instantly, leaving them with the tortured child who transformed into See No Evil. D'Raven 's entire body become numb in terror and fear as it shivers dramatically. His voice speechless from the appearance. This game of life has become too extreme for him. He is now just like the person from the video game. He is now fighting the first boss obstacle.

Haruka had understood everything Ken was saying and would have almost related, except for she could never do these horrible things to people or pokemon...at least, she hoped she wouldn't if she were ever in their situation. Human nature is something that even one cannot perceive of themselves. So if the roles were switched, Haruka wondered if she would've been just like Ken...

Once the boy was turned into See No Evil, Haruka swallowed and gripped her pokeball with tears in her eyes. This wasn't what she had wanted to happen, nor was this where she expected this to go. To have to fight the child that she was trying to save...this was proving that her own naive views needed to be buried here and now. She would fight now not only to save the child, but to save herself as well.

"Ace...let's go."

She called and released her partner Grovyle.

See No Evil, the corrupted soul of the once innocent child, has finally appeared in front of the two trainers. His facial expression showed no signs of insanity, pain, or sinister and sadistic sign of bloodlust. Instead, it only caw tormenting sadness and abuse with blood constantly dripping down from the head. Eyes shattered with no sign of life except for pain towards itself from others. To their appearance was a child captured through the darkness and manipulated by the Dark Descendants. To See No Evil, however, reveals a poor, unfortunate, and hollow shell of a soul who failed to satisfy his parent's expectation.

Around the entire surroundings of which they stand, voices of an angered woman spoke out in deviating and harsh tones at someone. Several sounds of physical and verbal abuse echoes, striking aggravating vibrations all around both Haruka, D'Raven, and See No Evil. Each one of them can feel the mental force crushing them, but not actually harming the trainers. The force, however, did make See No Evil eyes widen and panic. His voice trembles slowly with one word spoke through his lips each time. Despair and sadness is filled within each word.

"Mother...."

"Please.....stop..."

"Please.....I'll be good...."

See No Evil drops on the ground for a brief moment panting in agony, remembering the torment of his mother's abuse. Clench onto the ground before yelling out and unleashing a devastating screech all around to silence the whispers. The shockwave also forcefully pushed Haruka and D'Raven away several feet from him.

STTTTTTOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He continues to yell in sadness and despair. The dark aura burst wildly all around him to reveal how much power and pain has been stored within him from the memories. In addition, two large auras appear each side to summon two shadow creatures.

The devastating echoes and voices of physical and verbal abuse made D'Raven remember some terrifying memories of himself five years ago on how his parents tried to make him become a Pokemon Trainer. His flashback refresh those physical whippings and disappointing faces from his mother and father as the same question repeats: Will you ever become a Pokemon Trainer? Will you ever find something better to do besides locking yourself in solitude? Why don't you want to become one? This deeply made him question his own self as he kneels down with his eyes shaking in terror and his body trembling in fear.

"No no no no!!! I've never asked for this!!"

These similar feels. They connect just like See no Evil, but alternatively different in every single way. Indeed, he didn't want to become a Pokemon Trainer at all. However, their actions and constant questioning about his life made him question himself during his journey as well. On one hand, he needed to find out what he wanted to pursue in life. On the other hand, he never asked for this and now his life is going to end here quickly. However, those options didn't matter at all. Right now, he have to snap out of his own turmoil and face reality. He promised to protect Haruka and help those who the Dark Descendant's threaten. His voice trembles as he slowly gets back up on his own two feet, but his body slowly regains control over his own emotions. Swallowing his emotions deeply and stared down at See No Evil. Afraid, yet stable enough to risk his life for others.

"Juno...If we go down, then at least we've had a good run in this game. Let's give this guy a run for his money."

He said to his Pokeball before summoning his Sandile partner, Juno. The desert croc cried out loudly at See No Evil and is ready to battle. The prologue of his video game is coming to a close. The boss fight begins.

Haruka's facial expression would become unseen. She seemed to have entered her own world...a world of shadows. A place where she was always being left behind. But everyone wanted to protect her, as if she were useless. She was the support behind the scenes, and even within her group of friends, she hadn't been important enough to take along. She was just a little girl living in a fantasy world. But now she knew that was over. From this moment forward, she would take her own path in life to the future that she so sought.

She opened her eyes, and took a step forward...

The situation now reaching its peak, the tension in the air ignited a fire behind the group, letting them know that they could not leave until the deed here was done. Haruka and D'Raven's pokedex would begin to shine as the imminent threat made its force known.

D'Raven would feel the ignorance of his former self leaving him, and in its place, knowledge began to fill him up. His will to change became steel like, unbending and and unbreakable. D'Raven had achieved the Engineer class. In addition, he learned the technique crunch from Juno. (You don't have to use your teeth. XD)

Haruka would feel her weakness becoming a strength. The will to protect herself even if no one knew she was their or acknowledged her made her shadow defined. She became the poison to the world's spitefulness, and would remain forgotten in the shadows until she wanted to to be seen. Haruka had achieved the Ninjaclass. In addition, she learned the leaf blade technique from Ace.

See No Evil was now standing, his bleeding eyes sending pools of blood to the ground and sizzling it rotten. The battle was about to begin.

Before the confrontation against See No Evil, D'Raven's Pokedex emits a bright shine around him. The entrancing light caught his attention while going into a panic. He is completely confused about what the heck is going on as he suddenly gets a migraine. The neet trainer groaned from the burst of hidden knowledge locked away inside his brain from what the former self sealed away from the years of a neet and an otaku. The will of D'Raven sharply smelted and forged into a pseudo of formidable steel.

After the transformation, D'Raven's migraine vanished instantly and he regains his valuable knowledge that was sealed away during his solitude. The young trainer remembers majority of the Pokemon aspects and situations, but not too much that would overload his brain. He is now back to his Engineering self. He took a deep breath and continue to glance down at See No Evil. He spoke to Haruka before doing anything drastic.

"Hey, Haruka. Do you have an idea of how we're going to stop him?"

Haruka had changed. Her look and demeanor was no longer happy go lucky or even remotely cheerful. Her eyes show years longer of solitude and deceit that even D'Raven had before his own transformation. She looked at her pink dress and outfit and cringed at the meaning of it; Happiness, royalty, and companionship. None of which she were any longer. She would find her happiness, but no longer would she seek companionship. She wasn't a little girl who needed others to protect her. Closing her eyes, she let her shadow run up her body until her outfit had changed into a sleek, skin-tight, black body suit.

"We defend ourselves."

She blankly stated before rushing towards the Tauros and letting loose a volley of shadow shuriken. They weren't very powerful, but they were swift (like the attack swift, they cannot miss.)

The Shadow Tauros became greatly hostile when the volley of shadow shurikens struck it, causing it to become roused up in fury towards the reborn trainers. When the Tauros became roused up, its attack and special attack rose slightly by one stage due to its 'Work Up' ability. Kicking in rampage, the Tauros savagely rush towards Haruka with its head tilted down and his horns high and mighty, aiming to knock the living lights off of her with a 'Zen Headbutt'. If this wouldn't cause the killing blow to her, then there will be a chance to cause confusion from the headbutt.

Rhydon played support for the brief moment by glaring down at both of them with a horrifying and terrible look, giving them the 'Scary Look' which should strike great fear towards them and sharply reduce their speeds. Afterwards, it would go in towards D'Raven with its horn spinning abruptly towards the trainer with a impaling 'Drill Run'. It's body spun savagely alongside with the horn. If D'Raven would get stuck by the Drill Run, not only would he suffer a critical hit instantly, but a grievous wound which will cause 'Bleeding' as well.

See No Evil drops down on the ground and begin to cry. The verbal abuse and physical scars continues to echo in his mind constantly. Kneeling down on the ground.

D'Raven kept himself in caution around his surroundings while Juno remained by his side, taking calculations in hand about what he could use as a functional factor to the battle. As Rhydon glare at them to reduce their speed, D'Raven note the factor within by purposely getting hit by it. Sandile's shiver in terror from the sight of Rhydon as it sharply drop his speed as well. Once Rhyhorn rush towards at both of them with the 'Drill Run', he swiftly grabbed Juno and roll out of the way. Barely making out of the way.

Giving the time that he has from evading the attack, D'Raven used this chance to toss out a Poke Ball from his belt like a martyrdom and release Derp. He tosses Juno by Derp's side and spoke out to them.

"Tag him with Mud-Slap to blind and Water Gun to damage."

In duo synergy, the Sandile slaps out a massive amount of mud towards the Shadow Rhyhorn to restrict its eyesight by lowering its accuracy. The attack may not create a dent to the wall, but it will cause some delays to the repair. Slowpoke unleash a massive burst of water towards the shadow Pokemon to devastate it with massive damage against the foe. Luckily, it was a Ground/Rock type so it should take a terrible blow.

Haruka kicked back as the Tauros rushed at her, trying to time this just right. Seeing D'Raven foiling her plan as she thought she cursed and did the next best thing. She melded into Tauros's shadow just as it was on her.

With its enraged state and momentum it would not stop and as soon as D'Raven's attacks hit the Rhydon, Haruka would shoot herself from the shadow directly in front of Tauros before flaring a single hand sign and using 'Substitution Jutsu' to replace herself with the Rhydon, letting the Tauros enraged 'Zen headbutt' strike it at full power.

The combination attack of D'Raven and Haruka would prove extremely effective as both the Tauros and Rhydon took severe damage, and both went down instantly, having no chance against such a vicious assault and harmonious teamwork. However, not even a second later, a pulse would emit from See No Evil, and the two pokemon, though to have been fainted, would rise from the ground as if nothing had happened. See No Evil Screamed in pain as part of his own life energy was siphoned to revive the two downed pokemon. It seemed as long as See No Evil was active, this battle would go on forever, or at least until the child was dead...

Haruka moved swiftly, throwing out her Magikarp to distract the two giant pokemon, but being ready to switch with it just in case they decided to kill the poor useless fish. She rushed as fast as she could to See No Evil, using her precision movement as a ninja and stealth to reach him without much detection. Within a moment, as it seemed as if she were about to strike him, she embraced him.

"Hush kiddo. I know what its like...well, not really. But I'm here now. I want to show you what it's like to be loved okay? Even if I have to take you with me on my journey, you won't suffer anymore."

D'Raven arch his hand out towards Haruka to try and speak out about how far she strayed off, but afterwards he recognized about the tactic that she is going for. From seeing the fact that fighting would be endless and incompetent among both sides until one dies, Haruka wnet for the passionate and passive approach to show See No Evil that they understand his pain and torment. To show that there are still kind and faithful people that care and love him. While Haruka attempt her strategy in play, he remained in the distance with Derp as a defensive maneuver if anything goes completely wrong.

It's funny though. D'Raven only seen this kind of situation in his video games and TV shows many times, but it greatly brought him to tears and a smile of joy on his face. Yet, he'd also has another weird feeling in his heart from seeing Haruka like this. I guess even as a coward himself who was reborn to his natural state, he is still a softie. In his mind, he imagined a quick fantasy of Haruka saying those things to him. He covers up his face to hide his heavy blush.

"Haruka..."

Suddenly, the entire area pause and freezes completely out of order. Out of the blue, a young man who looks exactly like the guy in the avatar would appear in between the event that is going on and shrugs. At the same time, a vinyl disc would make a disrupting scratch as this guy begins to speak.

"UGGGHHH~! Not another delayed and prolonged event where it should have been over a long time ago. Okay, we'll fix this for these guys journey and for the rest of the new trainers to continue forwards with a quick explanation about what happened during the time skip."

He clears his throat momentarily and pulls out the remote control, pressing the fast-forward button to speed up the entire process and explain each part in a nutshell. The entire scene would speed up as well.

"Okay! Haruka hugs See No Evil to make him feel safe and sound. D'Raven is crying like the otaku/weeaboo that he is from one of his animoots. Crystal is removed from the child's heart and dies. Kid becomes purified and back to normal along with the Twilight Forest. Kid runs back to see his mother. Haruka and D'Raven remains in the forest once more."

He stops right at where Haruka and D'Raven watches the child leave from where they stand and keeps it paused. Places away the remote control.

"There you have it. I saved you guys countless hours of pointless waiting and confusion to keep this flow going. The Dark Descendants are defeated in this area for the time being and nothing else will happen until further notice. YOUR WELCOME!!"

He snaps his fingers and the scene goes back to where he left it off at.

So with even more convient script writing, D'Raven and Haruka recieve their prizes from the villages which they had to go back to, go back to the forest, say fuck everyone else, and end up in Route 3, where their journey continues unabated. (INSERT MONTAGE)
