I am Gintama Simonova. I was born and raised in the Hoenn region for 12 years. I went on a journey, met many people, and even fell in love. But all of that changed when I found out the truth of the pokedex. The person I loved was a pokedex wielder by the name of May Sapphire. She knew her life would be in danger in the future, she had seen in it during a future sight attack. She knew Gintama would do anything in his power to prevent her from going about it alone either. So she distanced herself from him and erased his memories.

Five years of living in blissful ignorance changed Gintama. He become slightly colder to those around him for an unknown reason, but he still loved pokemon. On his 17th birthday, he received a letter from Prof. Jupiter. He was to come to the Elestia region for urgent business involving a girl named May Sapphire. As soon as he saw that name, some of the memories from his past came rushing back to him. The girl, May Sapphire, she was someone important to him. That's all he could remember. Feeling that the only way he would get anymore answers, Gintama bid his parents goodbye and vowed to get to the bottom of this mystery now matter where his path would lead him.
