PostSubject: The Continuation of a Tradition   Thu Jan 10, 2013 3:21 am

The sunlight sparkles and illuminates it morning ray down the window to brighten up Venize's room. The warm light gently brush against her slightly tanned skin tone and awaken her. The young former swimmer release a quiet yawn and arch herself upward, stretching out with her arms wide up in the air while being in just her sky blue bra and panties. She pinpoint herself to the window and smile at the brand new day.

"Today's the day for my journey, huh?"

She got out of her bed and undoes her hairpiece to let all of her hair flow down to the back of her hips. First, she heads to the shower in her room to freshen herself up, humming a gentle tune that her aunt used to whistle as a lullaby. Next, after the shower, she dress herself in a new attire that she had recently bought from her savings.

A small red shirt that reveals her shoulders and a bit of cleavage. A couple of straps strung alongside her bra straps to keep the shirt steady. Her bust size is revealing since the shirt doesn't show much justice, but it has a cute heart emblem so its forgiven. Her belly is revealed with a bit of finesse from the years of swimming. She wore some detailed daisy duke shorts that were indeed exotic to see, but kept some privacy among her lower half as well. Her shoes were her typical dark blue and yellow running shoes. No explanation required.

Then, once her attire was ready, she walked downstairs and notice her uncle reading the newspaper. She walk behind him and hugs his back, kissing his cheek as a morning kiss. He smiled at his loving niece and kisses back.

"Morning, papa. Don't have to go to work today?"

Uncle Seth: "Morning, Venize. I got the day off so I'm just reading the newspaper."

"Today is the day I'm going to become a Pokemon Trainer."

Uncle Seth: "Your aunt would be proud of you, Venize. You've grown up into becoming a fine young lass."

"Yeah. She would..."

It's been two years since the death of her Aunt Maria. It still gave her the chills of sorrow in her heart, but she tends to endure it. She would smile lightly at her uncle and hugged him once more before taking off to see the professor.

"Well I'm off to see the professor, uncle. Take care of yourself."

Uncle Seth: "You too, Venize. Make sure you come back here before you take off now."

"I promise, uncle."

Venize opens the door and leave out of her home, closing it right behind her while her uncle went back into reading the newspaper. She begins traveling towards the Prof. Lab to begin her journey as a Pokemon Trainer.

The lab was conveniently located just a short walk away from Venize's house. Its door was closed, but the windows were sparkling clean. By the looks of it, the lab looked very new despite it has been there for a select few years. As Venize continued, there'd be a welcome mat at the foot of the door that was slightly tilted, and out of place. The air also smelled of cigarette smoke as well as aftershave. Here, the doorbell glowed with a blue hue and small sign that read "RING!", was etched right above it.

"Ack! That putrid stench of cigarette!"

The stench of cigarette smoke made Venize glut from accidentally inhaling it through her nose. A couple of coughs from the nicotine air. She press the doorbell to ring it for anyone to notice that there is a visitor waiting outside. In the meantime, she cover her nose and mouth with her hand so that the smell won't overcome her senses.

There would be some voices that could be heard, followed by some arguing and then silence. A thud could be heard from the other side of it soon afterwards. After a few more seconds, the door would open and the heavy stench of cigarette blew out, followed by a lab assistant wearing the typical lab coat, black pants, white shirt, with a tie. He also wore large glasses that he pushed up his nose to get them back into focus. Seeing Venize, he'd smile and scratch the back of his head a little.

Assistant: "O-Oh hello there! You seem to be looking for Professor Indigo. He's in the back of the room documenting and checking the available pokemon."

The lab assistant said, nervously welcoming her inside. He didn't notice her revealing outfit, rather he was busy attending to a lump on his head. If on looked clearly, there'd be a string of white smoke going to the top of the ceiling. On a chair, clacking away at the computer, sat a man with Indigo colored hair. His lab coat was off and thrown about on the lab floor. Wearing only his pants and t-shirt, Indigo didn't turn as he heard Venize enter, instead he continued to work on the computer.

The lingering stench of the cigarette smoke made her cough even more, feeling a bit icky and flops down on her knees. If the cigarette stench that her uncle had at times were hard enough to endure, then this would be even worse than before. Seriously, who would smoke and damage their body like that? Nevertheless, she got up and try to endure it for as long as she can. She thank the young professor for inviting her in their lab and walks in.

"Thank you very much, sir."

Inside the laboratory, it was much smokey than before, clogging up the vision for her as she coughs some more. Unaware to her intentions and noticing that the professor was nearby, she spoke out calmly at them both.

"Excuse me, but could you put out your cigarettes for a moment? The smell makes me nauseous."

The clacking stopped. With a slight turn in his swivel chair, Indigo saw Venize from the corner of his eyes. She asked him to put out his cigarette, something he would most definitely say a "Hell no" to, but seeing as it was a young child let alone a girl, he decided to let it slide. Cracking the window next to him, Prof. Indigo flicked the cigarette out of the window after taking another drag from it.

Indigo: "That better? Good, now what do you need, small fry. Guessing its to start your journey as a Pokemon Trainer, right?"

He'd ask in a rough tone. Turning around in his swivel chair, Venize would finally be able to see his features. Indigo had sky blue eyes, his indigo hair formed a comb around his soft looking hawk shaped eyes. His nose was small and spaced perfectly away from his eyes. Indigo's mouth had soft looking lips that formed into a serious straight line. Lastly, his skin was on the pale side, and looked as soft as his lips. All together, he held a very serious face despite how soft looking his appearance was.

Looking Venize up and down, he took a sigh before sitting back into his chair. He'd move his lips around a bit and tucked the bottom lip under his teeth. It seemed as though he was already growing impatient.

The incoming voice tone that shifted at her gave out an uncomfortable environment for her all together. His appearance, although soft and timid, did print out a sincere expression along with it. To Venize, it reminded her of how the anchorman are like reporting the news to the public on live television. Her voice echoes out in reply nervously from his stern and rush monarchy.

"Yes, I'm here to become a Pokemon Trainer."

Jokes aside, she bit her lower lip and replied back with a slight nod to Prof. Indigo's question. Nothing else would be expressed until further notice as she awaits what she'll have to do now.

Indigo raised an eyebrow. This girl was alright in his book, at least. Without much more dialogue or anything like that, Indigo turned back in his chair and was now facing the computer once more. Clicking and clacking on the keyboard for a few seconds, he brought up a screen that showed the available pokemon for starting trainers. Using his feet to move the chair over to the right side, Prof. Indigo motioned for Venize to come over and take a look at the screen.

Indigo: "Figured. In any case, come over here and check out the list of available pokemon. To scroll down the page, use the arrow keys. However, if you're feeling ready and adventurous, use the mouse scroller to scroll down the page."

It was a joke, despite the fact he didn't laugh. The atmosphere was right to him. The smoke was still in the air, he was in a neutral mood, and he was more than ready to introduce the girl to the world of pokemon, although it would be brief.

Venize went towards Prof. Indigo's direction and listen to his instructions on the next objective. Carefully watches over the computer screen and pay close attention to which kind of starter Pokemon she would prefer. It is quite an amazing feat for herself since she knew about the whole Pokemon Trainer aspect, but never thought that she would become one herself. With her eyes deep in awe and her mind set in fascination, Venize scroll down on the mouse wheel to check on each type and their nature. She did release a small chuckle from Prof. Indigo's little joke.

"Let's see..."

She then notice the snake-like type of Pokemon with a smirk on its face. It's appearance resemble a snake, but with arms along with it and eyes halfway closed. The expression on this face says, "I'm a real toughie." She would click on the icon to bring up more detail about the Pokemon. It is a Snivy. She smile at the screen for a bit and point.

"I would like to go for this one as my starter, Prof. Indigo."

Indigo let out a yawn as she started to scroll down the page. He looked at the ceiling for just a small bit before looking back down. She had this fascination on her face, she was glad to have finally come of age to become a pokemon trainer. The fascination made him smile a bit for it was hard for people like her to come by, and actually be excited for their first pokemon.

When Venize was finally done with selecting her pokemon, she'd see that she had chosen, Snivy. With a relief sigh, he'd kick back off the floor and travel on over to a large cylindrical object with his swivel chair. Stopping to slight screeching halt, he began clicking a few buttons on the object, and it shot up, and revealed a capsule that held what seemed to be hundreds of pokeballs. Turning a shelf, he found the pokeball he needed, took it into his hand, and tossed it towards Venize.

Indigo: "Better catch it, small fry!"

He'd exclaim. This would be his little test, just to gauge where she was at and how the two would bond with each other. Depending on the actions she took would determine the way how she worked an other things like that. For now, he just looked with his serious gaze at what she would do next.

Venize was caught off guard from Prof. Indigo's toss of the Pokeball towards her while she was admiring at the Snivy some more, focusing her attention at the flying ball to her face. The ball tapped her on the head which gave her a little bump on the head and bounced down in-between her cleavage. She rubbed her head while giving out a tiny groan from the impact.

"Ouch."

She took the Pokeball off of her chest and looked at it for a brief moment. The Pokeball opens up abruptly which surprised her in a bright glow and pops out her starter Pokemon, Snivy. The same exact resemblance from the screen matches the appearance of how it would actually look like. No replicated clones or knock-offs. The snake-like Pokemon looks at her with it arms placed on the sides while having his eyes halfway closed as usual. The trademark smirk remain intact.

"Snivy.~"

She would smile brightly and wrap itself around in her arms, holding it tightly from how awesome it looks.

"Ohhh, you're so awesome for my first Pokemon!"

Venize would pick up the Snivy and spoke to Prof. Indigo once more for any other information that she'll need to know.

"Excuse me, Prof. Indigo, is there anything else I should know before I go off on my journey?"

Watching the display of how she was caught off guard, Indigo let out a little chuckle along with a sigh.

Indigo: "Hm the counterbalance is correct. Good, looks like you will learn something on your journey after all."

He said as he kicked back over to Venize and Snivy. Indigo patted the Snivy on its head, then looked up to Venize, it seemed his eyes narrowed a little.

Indigo: "Looks like you're ready to being. However, you're going to need one of these as well as some good tips to help you out there."

Kicking back over to chest with a large lock on it, Indigo pulled out a complex looking key from out of his hair, and plunged it into the lock. Turning it, unlocking, an opening the chest, Prof. Indigo pulled out a PokeDex. Closing and locking the box once again, Indigo swiveled back over to Venize, he showed it to her.

Indigo: "I'm sure you know what this is, small fry. This thing is one of the most helpful pieces of technology on this planet. The Pokedex doesn't just serve as a damn encyclopedia that is only used for storing pokemon data, it has a multitude of other functions that only you, the trainer, can unlock and see for yourself."

Clearing his throat and turning towards the window, Professor Indigo took a deep breath and smiled a bit more.

Indigo: "This world is good, only if do good, and make good decisions. Your pokemon are friends, the people you meet may be friends, and I stress maybe very much. This is a good region, no doubt. However, you must also be aware that wherever is light, there is darkness. Keep your wits about yourself and you'll do just fine."

Back at his computer now, Indigo finally turned his back upon Venize and Snivy. Getting back to work on what he was doing earlier, he just remembered another thing he had to tell her.

Indigo: "Almost forgot, small fry. Go to the pokemon center and get yourself registered as an official trainer. At the same time, do some work or something to get yourself better acquainted with others. Anyways, that's all I have to say, you're free to go now."
